Here is a little story and some observations from my pre-RP years. Hopefully you'll find something you relate to. I think you will.

I went to sleepaway camp for a few summers when I was growing up. Boys and girls of course lived in very separate sections of the camp, but activities and meals and everything we were together.

Around middle school/high school age, the hormones start raging and kissing girls becomes not only something you want to do, but something that has a real possibility of happening. Maybe more than kissing too. And definitely once you became a staff member.

So each summer, of course, there would be a girl or two I had crushes on. But there was a problem for me. I always felt like I lost out to the types of guys at the camp that I considered to be "douche bags."

Not only did girls I like end up kissing these guys, but these guys were somehow able to be kissing girls at all! I didn't get it! What was I doing wrong?

For some reason, rather than asking the "douche bags," I stayed on my high horse and refused to stoop that low. I never asked them how they did it. I never asked for guidance. I judged them as base human beings and ridiculed them out of my own insecurity.

Instead, I thought the best course of action was to ask my female friends. Or the girls I liked that had friendzoned me probably the minute I opened my mouth.

"Why doesn't Sally like me? She was kissing Jonny tonight. I had spent so much time talking to her. We even did arts and crafts together."

"oh, don't worry, RP_on_TV, one day she'll see."

"Really? You mean it?"

"You're a great guy and she'll figure it out eventually."

Good! Great! I thought this was swell news. According to my friend, all I had to do was WAIT. Easy! I'm lucky enough to have some talents, some smarts, good looking. This will be a cinch! I see it in the movies all the time!

So what did I do? Kept on keeping on the Beta path. Orbiting. Fucking doing arts and crafts. Talk to her at every chance I could get like it was some political campaign. Thinking I've made progress towards "the day she'll see" only to have her run off again with Jonny.

This eventually turned into "why do I even like Sally if she thinks Jonny is the kind of guy she should be with? Maybe she's not the girl I think she is."

That is where I was SO CLOSE to discovering some Red Pill truths on my own. It was where I had the chance to take girl(s) off the pedestal. But I failed. And wouldn't unplug for many years later.

What I should have thought was "Why does she like Jonny? Because he's confident and cool and keeps it real on his terms. She's definitely not the girl I think she is. In fact, none of these girls are because I put them all on pedestals. So starting from today, they are all off pedestals and I'll have no problem treating them like real humans instead of amazing gorgeous angels. I'll stop waiting for them to see."

Because the truth is, she'll never see.

The "one day she'll see" advice is an unconscious (or conscious) effort to keep you, BB, hopeful and in your place until the pristine object of your affections is done with her AF.

Deep down they know their AF can't possibly last forever, so they're hedging their bets. With you.

This is goes for anyone orbiting a girl or has a oneitis. At your school, at your church, at your office (careful...), in your life. Anywhere. Not just at my little camp from my little story.

None of the girls I had ever been told this about ever "saw". This is not how it works. I was taught wrong by my female friends, by the movies, by TV.

And this ridiculous notion was the backbone of my strategy with girls up until about one year ago. Convincing them I was worth their time. When really they have to prove to me that they are worth mine.

Actually, they WILL notice once you lift, respect yourself and your time, take the lead, are dominant, and achieving and chasing your own goals in life. By then your pedestal will be full of all the things that are really important for you, and girls will be lucky enough to share the space around it.

TL;DR: As stated above: The "one day she'll see" advice is an unconscious (or conscious) effort to keep you, BB, hopeful and in your place until the pristine object of your affections is done with her AF.
