My mission? I want to create and explore. Creating a skillset in the medical field, creating things by working with my hands, creating creative ideas to work from, creating a big and pleasant social circle and creating a family; becoming a dedicated father with a loving wife one day. (and before I'm 35 if possible, thank you very much)

And to explore. I want to see as many corners of the world, participate in exciting activities and to keep trying new things until the day I die.

That's my mission alright.

Money. I'm a physician. After residency I want to hit 350 within a few years. I know guys doing 180 and I know a guy doing a mill. I want that paper.
Get my size, cuts, and strength back. The last 8 years I've been essentially out of the gym. I'm rolling around at 200 right now. I want back up to 220 and reasonably lean. I might need to juice up get there. In the meantime I'm back on the iron pills.
Have some kids in the next few years. My shit with my partner is good. AWALT, but she knows I can replace whenever I want so she keeps it cool. She'll be a good mother. She's a doctor too, she'll work part-time make good money.

I don't care about anything else. I like drinking, eating, spending time with my friends. That's all they're into as well. No hobbies, none of that shit.

Before anyone asks. Guy on the mill is family medicine running a methadone shop. The real money seems to be in medical real estate.

I'm not sure we need to have a mission. You don't have one but you don't feel lost, you're doing fine. I have a career that I get some personal satisfaction and financial reward from, good relationships with a few people who matter to me, and a couple of hobbies that I find interesting. Maybe it's a symptom of our culture that we believe we each have to have some special mission to live a fulfilling life. Maybe having a philosophy of life is more important?

Personally I think this whole new age "you need a mission or life purpose" is fabricated. The only mission you truly have is to stay alive and fuck women. That's what our biology dictates and in today's world neither of those is too difficult. Most people in developed countries live long lives with little effort. With modern birth control having sex with women takes a little bit of game and an hour at a bar. People need to stop stressing about life purpose and just live life. Very few people are Steve jobs or some special snowflake destined for one purpose and to change the world. I think this belief is narcissistic and detrimental. By failing to find something that probably never existed you begin to feel as if you did something wrong. No you didn't! You're simply falling prey to a pushed narrative about what constitutes happiness and satisfaction. There are tribes of people in Papua New Guinea basically in subsistence living where depression is unheard of. Is it because they all found some life purpose? No it's because they don't even think about that shit, they just cover their needs and live life.
