Summary: We as men are conditioned to be earners and providers. An anonymous genius once said, "When a guy goes to a hooker, he's not paying her for sex, he's paying her to leave." i.e., men with money have access to the best pussy for the least emotional bullshit. Many of us pre-RP have made the mistake of flaunting our money and becoming a woman's living, breathing ATM. AWALT.

Body: My biggest flaw is arrogance. When I landed my first decent job, an attractive hookup all the sudden saw me as relationship material. Feeling like I had won the lottery of life, I would splash out on her like crazy (dirty joke intentional). Stupid-expensive dates, driving her everywhere, booking hotel rooms, going to concerts, she would say "let's do x" and I would jump at the chance to spend my money for no good reason.

To be fair, she put out every night of the week, and didn't seem entitled at first. Slowly our relationship turned into routine, spending, fucking, meeting family eventually. After about eight months, I stumbled on theredpill. Didn't have a reddit account yet, just snooped. A little bit of paranoia creeped into my relationship from the things I read.

Eventually I found out she was texting one of her ex-boyfriends. He sent her pics, and offered to beat up her "fuckface boyfriend". He lives across the country so there was nothing going on. But she had started to see me as an ATM who she could manipulate. Maybe not the pushover betas in some of deadbedrooms and TRP's horror stories, but still. A cocky, arrogant prick who couldn't see that he wasn't in control at all. And knowing all this, and hating myself a bit, I dumped her. Didn't offer much of an explanation, and she acted heartbroken. She said she was losing the guy of her dreams. But I knew that there was no way to turn this relationship around.

Lessons learned: Using your money to attract women is a double edged sword. Everyone knows you can end up as some kind of sexless ATM, but you can also be suckered as a BP guy with some "alpha" qualities. Even when you think you paid for her, you're in control, you're not. Showing off your money should be used very sparingly, by people who have a clear goal.
