"Electrician or handyman" - NOT interchangeable. Electrical is a skilled trade and specialized. Handyman is what a guy who's not very good at any one trade calls himself.

Get someone who's not an electrician to do electrical work, or not a plumber to do plumbing. You'll get sloppy work that isn't up to code at best. At worst, you could have a house fire (water damage in the case of plumbing).
