Hi, all.

I’m in a relationship with a truly wonderful guy. He takes care of me, wants to build a life with me, takes me seriously, and is super sweet and loving and has literally said that he’ll basically do anything I want him to.

However, recently I just find myself getting annoyed with him all the time. Over stupid little things, usually. Small questions. Little things he does that are part of his personality. Our sex life is already routine and boring. He wants to cuddle when I just want space to sleep. I find myself wanting distance from him more than I actually want to see him.

We both really want to get married as soon as we can and settle down, and I know he’s going to be a wonderful father and husband and would always treat me super super well. So why am I so frustrated with him all the time? He doesn’t deserve that, and I want to treat him as well or better as he does me.

Does anyone have any tips, tricks, or strategies for how to let go of that frustration and approach the situation better? I’ve realized I’m struggling to respect him lately and I feel absolutely horrible since I know how amazing he is. Is there something wrong with me? Do I just need to suck it up and go through the motions until it feels more natural? Am I approaching this all wrong?

Please, help.

ETA: for context, I’m 25, he’s 26, and we’ve been together just over two months.
