Yes, I quit watching The 100 because of this bullshit. Some 110 pound woman would train for 4 weeks to take on a Mike Tyson type and then beat the crap out of him and several others like him. I got tired of rolling my eyes at this unrealistic bullshit.

My ex girlfriend was strong for a girl, long story short we went for a jog and she said I was going too fast and punched me in the back of my head the hardest she could. I let it slide, and then she slapped my ear after the jog which fucked up my ear drum and gave me a ringing so bad, at that point I had to defend myself so I when she came back for more, I did a blast double and did a throw when I popped my hips which is a wrestling move and her head bounced off the grass and she was crying. We broke up after that.

My wife didn't, she was hell surprised when I carefully demonstrated to her that little, average me was so much stronger than her that she was as ineffectual as a small child when it come to using force. She knew I was stronger than her, but she was actually shocked to learn just how huge that disparaty was. And I am average, I mean, I was working out and stuff, but what guy doesn't these days.

I brought it up with my dad and he said that my mum was exactly the same way. She was a gymnast and had the genetics that made her noticably stronger than the average woman. So she thought that if it came down to it, she could back herself to defend herself against a man. So my dad told her to go all out on him to prevent him getting the better of her and them immediately and exceedingly easily pinned her down and she couldn't do anything. It was a good lesson to her to realise that she had to have a more careful attitude.

Was watching Banshee a week ago and one of the episodes featured a lengthy fight between a muscular Ukrainian man and a skinny female. She was getting kicked through the wall, slammed through tables, head smashed through glass and stabbed in the gut and she still won. It was so fucking ridiculous and laughable.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, a lot of things in real life don't happen like in the movies. Men can overpower women, and men also most of the time never get the girl (or a girl). In real life, loser guys also don't get an underdog story where they get love interests left and right all of a sudden. I'm not defending women, I personally don't care for that typ of content either, but complaining about unrealistic fiction is pointless. If you don't like the content, don't buy it, don't watch it, don't consume it. Let your wallet do the talking.

It makes me uneasy to watch this, because it creates a false stereotype, that women can beat up men twice their size and muscle mass with a few simple kicks or punches...
It also makse me bored to watch women acting like men in movies... I really wish that in something like movie about a female spy, we could watch her use real subterfuge, instead of kicking and punching five guys, while wearing high heels and a tight dress.... it's just too unrealistic to even try to imagine... yet movie after move we get the same old stereotype...

If you ever trained martial arts or did some even amateur-style fights, you know how incredibly powerful men are in a fight. Women can't even begin to understand the strength that some men have. Men can break womens bones (and some mens bones too) just by grabbing a hand strongly. Women fighting men is fantasy like a teenager fighting a man, and should be never be confused with reality.

Way back when I shared an office with a proud fierce feminist. She was a skinny redhead named Karen, 5'9", 120 lb. I'm 6' and was 230 lb. So few people participate in martial arts, especially women, they get deluded into thinking that their 45 minute sepf defense class has taught them all the skills they need to overpower a 240 pound man. It is dangerous to be encouraging women to believe this nonsense.

I am female, I train martial arts and spar with men regularly and know very well that any of the men in my gym, if we went 100% effort with no rules, would more than likely be able to overpower me. This is biology.

And I've had women who don't train anything argue with me that women are just as strong as men, and they could totally kick the ass of any guy who messed with them and they carry a pocket knife so they are safe wandering down dark alleys at night.

I wouldn't exactly call male action movies realistic either. When I bring this up people tend to argue that its 'more' realistic, but that isn't saying much. I never really liked any show or movie where the action has the odds stacked against the hero yet they take them down with show-offy ease. I've definitely felt it more jarring with women because it always feels like they are making a point though. Don't get me wrong, there are exceptions, but there are very few you can watch that don't make you feel like the womans about to turn to the camera and say 'see? Girls can be action heroes too!'

I did enjoy Buffy The Vampire Slayer. It had its feminist moments but when you consider its era they are extremely mild. When you put it up next to The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina you realize that feminist media used to be accessible and relatable to everyone, because back then it wasn't about trying to alienate or put others down. I'm not going to get upset when the girl is just another character in the story, even if she is clearly OP. I'm going to get annoyed when it feels like they are trying to make a point out of it.

Buffy was the first real TV series I Watched, and I thought I would love hot blondes fighting as a general rule, but every time I have seen it since then it tends to feel try hard.

Black widow is a good exception. There is SOME 'girls can fight too!' bs in there, but its minimal. Everyone acts like we hate captain marvel because we hate women, but no one really seemed upset that black widow was one of the top fighters in the world without any super powers or tech, because they didn't make a point out of it. That was just who she was as a person.

Years ago, I was watching a Regina Halmich fight with a buddy. A large man, very strong and even with boxing experience of his own. He flat out admitted he wouldn't stand a chance against her. Regina was world champion at that time, so...

Stefan Raab, German comedian, actually got in the ring against her. That man had balls. He probably trained for some time to be up to the task but is by no means an athlete. She didn't exactly beat the shit out of him because it was meant to be a fun event but broke his nose in the process. She could have knocked him out in round one easily but where's the fun in that. A Champion is a champion, regardless of size.

It's on YouTube for those interested even though I suspect it's the wrong audience here. But respect where respect's due.

On the other hand, two equally trained fighters m/f with the weight discrepancy you mentioned, that's a different can of beer. Klitschko would have mopped the floor with her.
