I recently hit a wall when it came to my dating life. 3 years ago probably the hottest girlfriend I had mutually left after 6 years of diminishing returns on every positive aspect you can think of when it came to respect, sex, support, etc on both our ends. Since then I've had a few lucky nights but the last 6 months seemed dry.

I'm large built but not necessarily fat italian olive skinned 6'4 tall with all his hair and I'd say between a 6 or 7 on the handsome scale. I'm not the cup of tea for every woman but I tend to attract and be attracted to the mediterranean New England type woman. I've never really had a dry spell longer then maybe 6 months.

But out of nowhere Tinder and POF only seemed to return to me larger black women (not my thing) and women I'd rate lower then a 4 to be generous. And it got worse the last month.

Hmm I'm pretty sure there's no "enable ugly and big black women mode" on dating sites. WTF is wrong here.

I'm not old. I'm barely 30, my pictures are from when I was 26 and the one 29 year old me picture looks better then all of them.

I decided this warranted a proper investigation. After the police and local PIs turned me down I did it myself.

All the matches were showing me women of 100 miles from me. Part of that hit the Bronx and Newark which is pretty "urban" and also included some trailer park areas that I would consider the white trash capital of the US.

Why are these apps searching that far out?

I also seem to notice that there are less women in general at my local diners and bars I goto.

Holy shit. Maybe it's not the same in your area but where I am it would seem that as summer is winding down the hotter women go indoors so the rest can come out and feast.

Then I noticed during a few job interviews in NYC so many drop dead gorgeous women everywhere.

I'm getting a job, so are the hotter women who have lives. Hotter women are more likely to be employed.

I did however get 1 date 2 months ago. But it took a lot of looking.

Finally I have my answer. As the title suggests

Although you could go up to 100 women and get dates if the pool of women aren't the greatest than you will get diminishing returns. That said the more you look the more likely you will eventually get lucky.

My strategy now is to "date smart" not hard. During more social times of the year, more Friday and Saturday nights and honestly less dating apps.

I find that when I try too hard like at a bar I make regretful mistakes, perhaps my beer goggles kick in, and the longer you wait the more likely only the stragglers remain.

A failed night is better the. A regretful one. As with every other aspect in life numbers are indisputable.

Edit: spelling. My autocorrect sucks.
