Owner of a business on a blue collar trade outside here. I'm out all day mainly 6 am to 7-8 pm somedays (still 2 days off/week to keep a balance).. It's physical even for me that i am the "boss". I work close to my workers and encourage them to do their best but also stop to take water brakes often. The last week we worked outside at 30-40 degress and we didn't even complain..yet i hear so many people and especially women that work indoors on a non physical work to bitch and complain! They'll probably have a breakdown doing our work for couple hours. I used to get upset but not anymore. I just laugh at them now and go my way 😃

I work at a lumber yard and do repetitive physical labor for 8+ hours a day preparing shipments for different houses. The only women that are employed here are all 250+ lbs and work inside in the nice air conditioned offices. Tell me that women have it harder than men with a straight face please.

Raised on a farm, did everything in my youth, from wrestling with cows to hacking frozen silage with a pickaxe.

Back when straw-bales were square and handled manually I worked collecting them from the fields (throwing them on trailers) and later stacking them 20 high under hot tin roofs for a turkey farm .. did I mention catching those damn turkeys by hand, carrying them to the cages on the truck and those bastards went nuts as soon as your grip went a little bit lose because of being tired.

Later went doing concrete formwork (Doka anyone?), running around with 3ft x 8ft elements alone (hammer trick), climbing up and down formwork, bending iron ...

Today a kinda fat and athletically pathetic guy (still work way too much but now sitting, driving and flying around) with his own office and AC.

Every hot summer day, and whenever the weather is cold and wet ...

I really, really appreciate it.
