Anyone wish episode IX was a Jar Jar movie? It would be a step up at this point.

But who cares, I'm never buying a ticket again for a Disney movie. They've clearly shown they can only make shit movies.

I don't even care about the SJW issues, my bar for movies is low, which is does it sufficiently entertain me to justify the ticket price.

And Disney has proved they've lost that capability. Ticket prices are up, movie quality is low. It crossed the line from 'yes' to 'no'.

All cows dry up eventually. They've milked it to the point of absurdity. I guess the thinking was that if they tried to be faux nouveau "edgy" by packing it with SJW nonsense, they would make it for a new generation. That's not a bad strategy for revitalization in theory, but the problem is that they basically took the tact that they don't want the fans that made SW a cultural phenomenon. They also failed to be inspiring for their newly created fans. It's a bit incredulous that 20 years from now people will be making references to ...whatever the characters names are in these reboots, or start cons dedicated to them, etc. Pretty much the same thing the ghastly Ghostbusters reboot did.

Disclosure: I'm old enough that I saw "Star Wars" (now "A New Hope") in its original theatrical release. Honestly, even as a kid I thought it was kind of silly knights in space with magic powers. But I do recognize that it had a tremendous impact on a great number of people.

They screwed over their fan-base by catering to (((the current generation))), even though the current generation, Millenials (particularly Gen Z and ~50% of Gen Y) hold conservative beliefs and values. Star Wars has such a huge and expansive universe that we’ve all grown up with. Young & old, of which all generations have enjoyed from millenials to the boomers. I remember playing the original KOTOR games as a child and being excited because there was a chance that any of these wonderful characters and/or stories could make it to the big screen. They could have done entire trilogies on characters such as Vader, or Luke, Ulic, Exar, Krayt, Bane, Marka Ragnos, Tulak, Nihilus, The Mandalorian Wars, etc. Instead, Disney chose to shit all over peoples (childhood) memories to push (((their))) own agenda and tow the line.

Enjoy your losses, you greedy, corporate, scummy fucks. You might hold the IP rights for the franchise but the fans won’t let you touch the legends universe. If you’re a fan of Star Wars in any way, shape or form get your friends & family woke with how dogshit the DISNEY Edition of Star Wars really is. Thumbs it down on social media (if you have it), let your mates know to stay away from it completely and show them how amazing a franchise it really is when you take away the ZOG.

Downloaded some proper Disney movies for free off the Internet at the weekend for my boys. The 1960's effects didn't affect their ability to get sucked into the movie because it was just so much better scripted and acted than today's shit. And films like Candleshoe still had strong female characters so it can be done.

Disney thought those scantily clad lightsaber wielding female jedi cosplays during conventions were a majority fanbase. Nah, they were just attention seekers. Those girls would not even go to a Star Wars movie unless a simp bought her a ticket.

I showed my nephew all the previous Star Wars movies, he was super excited. Then we went for latest Star Wars movies, then the following happens.

He asks me, why is the girl piloting Han Solo's ship ? I said because she's a better pilot. Then he asked why his dad would not let him drive his car because by the same logic that makes him a better driver, I tell him because he's not a girl. He proceeds to ask me - what's the difference. I tell him there's no difference and asked him if he'd like to wear girl clothes in order to drive his dad's car, he said, "Nah, I'd rather ride my bicycle"

He also asks me why Ren lost to Rey in a fight, I said because he's a boy. He asked, "Wasn't Ren a lightsabre expert and in Army?" I proceed to tell him that the force is female, he said, "It sucks"

He also asked me why Poe was demoted, I said because new admiral has to do something. He said, "Why do grown ups are all the same ? Whenever a new teacher comes to class, she always punishes all the boys, Didn't she know that the pilot was super awesome in the battle ?" I said, "Shut up or some lady in the audience will call him a girl-hater". He looked around and said, "But there's no lady in the audience!". I said, "Just shut up, you toxic masculine sexist pig". He said that he didn't understand what it meant.

He also asked, "Why's that granny flying in space ?", Is said because it's Mary Poppins day in space. He then asked why others wouln't fly back too, I replied, "Because the force is female"

He also asked why Rey needed training, she's already beaten the main villian.

He also asked Luke Skywalker is living alone. I said because he had a nephew. He proceeded to ask me if I'd leave him to sometime, I had no answer. :(

He asked me why chubby saved Finn when their base was destroyed. Now what will Finn do ?

I finally asked him if he'd like a lightsabre. He said no, He'd rather buy a nerf gun - "I don't like Lightsabers anymore"
