This is a big one for me. As a two time divorcee - I can attest to the obscene levels of material bloat women have added to my life. Never again will I be ran out of my own walk-in 150 ft² closet because heaven forbid an obscure pair of shoes be left in the attic or guest room.

I bought out the rights to my current house after my 2^nd wife filed for bankruptcy and to be honest; it's too much fucking house. I kind of hate having to foot the mortgage on this behemoth when I never truly wanted so much house to start with. I only use the living, kitchen and master bedroom and my daughter uses her room of course. I have 2 full rooms that house... nothing. I don't even need to use them for storage; they're just empty with their AC vents closed.

Living alone; if I'm out of milk one night... Fuck it! Don't need it that bad. Married; if we're out of milk one night... Endless bitching until I get dressed and go buy fucking milk.

"I think we need new towels for our bathroom." Why? What's wrong with ours "Do you really think they still match? Where is your taste?"
"I bought this 150 lb metal fleur de lis at Hobby Lobby, can we hang it up behind the couch?" Hun, that thing looks heavy. I'm going have to see what brackets I need. .00098 seconds later... "when are you going to hang the fleur de lis?"
"I'm going shopping with mom." What are you going for? I need a 6 mm long shank T-bar style sunken hex driver. "Don't know really, mom is picking me up in a few minutes so we can eat lunch first." Never mind - I'll just go by myself after I make a ham sandwich.

Not all relationships are like this, proper adults know that attraction is innate and its OK to look.

And there is a huge double standard too, I reckon I am at just about my peak SMV. I get a fair amount of attention of late as I have been improving myself too. By far the largest demographic that checks me out are women with their boyfriend/husband in-tow.

I'm not really sure what some of these things have to do with commitment. I don't think most of these apply, to be honest:

• The freedom to view and appreciate the beauty and sexual appeal of any and every woman I see with impunity – never having to worry about inciting anger, jealousy, resentment or passive aggression.

Unless you're girlfriend is a teenager, they'll understand that people look at others of the opposite sex, if they are attractive. Mature adults don't get angry or jealous over such a thing.

• The freedom to approach and converse with any beautiful or interesting woman, and to have the unique experience of discovering someone new.

You can have a partner you are committed to and still approach and converse with beautiful and interesting women. If your girlfriend/wife forbids you from communicating with those of the opposite sex, then she is either insane or a child.

• The freedom to explore a physical relationship with more than just one woman, to experience a variety of different styles and rhythms of physical expression — each one unique to a woman's personality, desires, gifts and experience.

This is probably the only thing on this list you can't have if you are committed. I'll give you this one, obviously.

• The freedom to travel and explore the world, without being tied to a particular city, nation or continent. To be able to go wherever I want, whenever I want, because I am uprooting no other life but my own.

This one isn't a big deal. If you are both employed, then yeah, it might be trickier to change jobs simultaneously... but most adults make this compromise at many points in their lives - they move/change jobs because their spouse did so.

• The freedom to live a spartan existence, sacrificing comfort, security and luxury, for the sake of independence, frugality and mobility.

Is it not possible to find a woman who also prefers frugality and a spartan existence? Many couples I know live spartan and frugal lives, and are doing just fine with it.

• The freedom to explore different passions, interests, hobbies, and careers without neglecting the responsibility to provide stability, comfort, housing and nourishment to one or more dependent persons.

Don't marry a woman who is unemployed. Pretty easy solution. Find a woman who shares your hobbies.

• The freedom to be bold, to take risks and to fail, because I am endangering the security of no other life but my own.

Again, don't marry a woman or date a woman who is unemployed and dependant on you. Avoid dependants.

To think that you have to give all this up just to be in a committed relationship with a woman is a little extreme and over-the-top. The only thing you'd probably have to give up for certain (usually) is the sex with other women part... and that's it really.

Marry a woman who is an adult, employed, and has hobbies and interests besides you, and then these issues will most likely cease to exist.

I agree with all of this, it is the same reason I, as a woman, am not into commitment. When I have said this before on TRP, however, I get told that it is a stupid move for a woman. But luckily I can't seem to bring myself to care because this freedom is just too great to pass up.

Commitment is pretty one-sided as far as contemporary relationships go. Whether it's dating or marriage, commited relationships only benefit women. There's no reason to play that game.

This post hits right at home. I'm 19 years old, getting ready to enter my twenties, arguably some of the most important years in the life of any red piller. I've been committed to a particular girl for a year and a half now. The shine on this relationship has begun to wear off and I don't go a day without thinking of the freedom I could possess again. I want to be able to experience women freely as well as have time to better myself, and fully embrace the red pill. The problem is I don't know if the grass will be greener on the other side. The girl I'm with has never done wrong to me and is a loyal companion, despite her constant temper and overwhelming and annoying need for attention. I'm not looking for any gratification that would sway my choice one way or the other but I would like an opinion or two. May have to post this question up somewhere.

The above I doubt I could sacrifice, maybe if a magical unicorn showed up and I was smitten in love but only maybe. I'm 49 and retired, never married with no children. I choose to live spartan because I don't want all the other shit other people seem to "need". This leaves me plenty of money to live well and travel on a whim which is how I do it. Anytime, anywhere for any reason I can just pack up and jet to Asia or South America etc. At my age with my life experience I truly doubt any woman is worth my sacrifice.

You claim you want to live like a spartan, but you obviously don't. How could they expect you to give up your life as the persians bombard you with wave after wave of enemy, and sacrifice your life for the greater good, when you won't even give up trying to bone every "beautiful woman" you meet.

You need to worry less about whether she is worth it, and more if you are worth it. My father always told me, being a man is about more than yourself. When you leave this world, what will be your contribution? When you look god in the eyes and he says, "did you leave the world better than you found it?", what will your answer be?

I don't mean to sound self-righteous, and believe me, I'm not. I've made hundreds of mistakes, opportunities lost, I just thought I would share this info I had. Take it as you will.
