And yes, where there is public health coverage for this vaccination the movement to make it available mostly started and stopped at girls, because those are the only humans the hypergamocracy cares about.

You have that concern since you are a man. Women are the scum of the earth, and have no concept of honor. I've had two women admit to having herpes, and maybe three women admit to "used to having" HPV (the viral STD's are permanent, even if there are no outbreaks or viral shedding) after we've had sex. I've never had a herpes outbreak (that I know of), but I simply assume that I have HPV by now, even though I've never had warts (that I know of).

Frankly, reading STD faq's is the worst thing in the world. First, you see these nasty pictures of the most extreme cases of festering rot. Then, practically every STD is like, "80% of people who have it don't know they have it, the warts are microscopic, there's no test for men, that headache you have is herpes, blah, blah, blah." Then every little thing on your junk is a festering STD in the making and you're pulling a bat wing with your scrotum beneath a magnifying lens. It used to be a source of extreme anxiety. Years later, I've never had any outbreaks, and while it is possible that I've contracted an STD other than HPV (which is practically a given), it becomes a case of "what you don't know can't hurt you."

We're all going to die one day, but in the meantime I'm going to fuck, smoke, drink, and eat red meat. I'll probably live longer than my second hand smoke victims too. Who knows?

There is no male test for HPV.

There is also no medication for it. It's a virus. No antivirals exist for it and antibiotics don't work on viruses.

If she had the "good" kind, that produces warts and she could put cream on the warts or just burn them off.

Her lie about HPV scares me into thinking she meant HSV.

HSV is herpes, and there are two main types. You can test for that but you need to wait at least 4 months.

Then get an IgG test for HSV 1 and for HSV 2. If a doctor tries to give you an IgM test, decline it.

Obviously, test for anything and everything else. The HPV lie is the tip of the iceberg.

Dude, this isn't a big deal. Most people are exposed to some type of HPV over the course of their lives. Most never even get symptoms. If she had been treated for it, you only had sex once, and she didn't have any visible warts, its very unlikely you contracted it.

And don't think you're some kind of leper or something. As stated, many people have been exposed to HPV. If you don't have visible warts, you can't pass it on, so don't worry about it. If you go to your urologist and you don't have any warts, they can't tell you if you have it or not. If you do have warts, they freeze/cut them off (very painless - no stitches), and get it biopsied. Unless they 100% confirm you have it, you don't, and you're under no obligation to inform someone you're having sex with that you might have it.

Men that get penile cancer from HPV under age 55 in the United States is literally less than 200 a year. If your risk factor goes from one in a hundred million to one in fifty million, sure, its increased 5x. But your overall risk is still insanely low.

Stay healthy; it will help you clear it faster if you do have it. Just keep a watchful eye on your junk for the next few months. If you notice a wart, get it cut off and biopsied so you know. But for real, very little for you to worry about here.

Funny how I don't have any and no one else (spinning 4~ plates for ~6 months before/after) I was with got anything.

Anyway, be careful out there man and stay frosty. The best thing you can do is take care of yourself - avoid smoking, drinking, practice good sleep / nutrition, etc.

Now, I know this is a common virus. But that doesn't excuse her, and I don't think she deserves to be let off so easily. What if it was HSV, or HIV? I'm sure you wouldn't be so calm in that instance.

HPV 16 doesn't cause warts. The ones that cause cervical cancer don't usually have warts..there is no way to know if you ever got it from her. Move and don't give a shit, you will have no symptoms.

IIRC there is a vaccination for men against the HPV virus. If you don't already have HPV.... I strongly reccomend you get that vaccination asap.

I get a chuckle every time a kid freaks out about HPV. Nearly everyone who is sexually active gets exposed to HPV. Condoms don't protect against it. It does nothing to the majority of the population. And in the rare chance it does, it's a few minuscule bumps that wear off and go away on its own. For women, they just have to get gyno checkups more often to keep an eye on their cervix, but it's pretty much routine. In men, it does nothing. So, don't worry about it. You're okay!

If you have sex, you have HPV.

The study was done in women, if I recall, but if a woman had 4 partners over the course of college (which is far below the average woman, I think we can agree), she had something like an 85-90% chance of having HPV at the end of her college education.

This generation (probably stemming from the HIV crisis of the 80s and early 90s), has an almost irrational fear of STDs versus the actual risk accompanying them.

If you have sex with more than 5-10 women, you are going to have HPV. You will probably have herpes too. Hell I'd say most of the men reading this have both. And the kicker? You will most likely never know. Conventional STD tests don't check for them, the vast majority are symptomless, and your body will reduce the viral load in both to virtually nil after a few months. Technically you're still carrying them around but functionally you're cured. You won't spread either and neither will affect your life.

The only STD you have to worry about in the western world as a straight man is HIV. And we are the rarest group to have it other than lesbians. So there is very little to worry about. Take precautions, but don't worry about STDs to a greater extent than the risk is actually present.

It's not something to panic about. You will just have to care about the immune system. That means healthy food and gym. Reframe it. HPV is just another reason to self-improve. And I know some guys with HPV, they said it doesn't look like those horrible internet pics. So just relax, you probably didn't even catch it.
