This pisses me off so much because it's similar to how my dad died. He was in a car accident from trying to dodge a person who j-walked into the street

It was a four lane road and he was in the one closest to the shoulder, and when she walked out into the street he turned to the left to try not to hit her and the car in the lane next to him ran into the driver's side of the car

When I got to the scene, it was her husband who apologized for her. I don't know why she was there at all if she wasn't going to confront me directly, but it was a big accident that made the local news since some cars piled up behind the car that hit him, though my dad was the only one who died, so maybe she left and her husband convinced her to come back

Either way, I wish my dad had hit her instead. It was her fault and he shouldn't have been the one to die

Edit: in this case the light was red, so the driver actually drove through a red light. It's not as bad then. In my dad's case, the woman wasn't even at a crosswalk; she just walk right into the middle of the street, I guess because she thought there was enough space between her and the car

She should have looked and was lucky, the driver speeding caused the accident, had I not looked and almost got clipped, I wouldn't feel bad for the driver, as I don't now. That being said, I wouldv'e gone to the scene, their is a completely innocent person in all this, whoever was in the car that got hit. My concern, on sheer principle, would be for the person(s) hit. Here's what probably went down:

Street Crosser "Have to leave Chad's before anyone sees me, I'm not like that"

Speeder (putting on makeup or phone or radio), "I'm 20 min late to my lunch date with Chad"

Driver "I'm trying to get to my third job after I got screwed over b/c of Chad"

The girl was behind the light post and some other little things and tall grass. So the driver very well may not have even been able to see her.

The light was a split second before. This happens a lot when maybe someone thinks the light will be yellow for longer and wants to make the light. The barely got the red light. This can happen to anyone.

She's an idiot for not looking and just stepping out. It happens a lot that people are going through the intersection a second after the light turns red. Even if you are driving and you get a green you don't gun it off the line without looking. She's seriously lucky she's not dead. This was totally avoidable for both people, the driver and the girl. While not legally liable, she's a moron and almost got killed, but was a big part of the reason the other car crashed.

It's things like this though that piss me off when driving. Especially women seem to get in accidents like this kind of thing but it's not technically their fault. Like they will be driving and on their phone driving erratic, they will stop when they aren't supposed to or something. Then someone behind them not in any way expecting someone to just slam the breaks and stop at a non stop intersection ends up rear ending the chick who was on her phone. But now it's the persons fault behind them. Even though really it's the chicks fault.

Or you'll be driving and one lane has to merge but the other lane driver is oblivious to it and you almost merge into them as they came barreling up the lane as you're about to merge. But oh if an accident happens and you merge into them it's your fault. I really think half the accidents out there are causes by morons being morons but they get off Scott free because technically they can't be held liable.

The point is, an accident happened, and she is nonchalant about the whole thing.

It's always she/her world/her attention providers. Empathy, love and such are something from a man and a woman can only pretend(pretending to be like him to win him) for the resources.

I live in Eastern Europe and this happens everyday. A few weeks ago they added a very clear "Look before you cross" on these paths to encourage people to not be splattered over the road. I ALWAYS look very careful and if I doubt whether they will stop, I wait..

Actually the driver of the green car was in the wrong. Notice the traffic light changing from green, then yellow, and by the time the car comes to a stop, it's assumed it's a red light. The driver in the green car is an idiot and most likely ran a red light.

As for the woman, she probably has headphones in her ear, listening to Beyonce or some other crap music. She doesn't give a shit.

I find no fault with her. She might be dumb as fuck but I wouldn't give 2 shits either if a moron blasted though a red, swerved to miss a pedestrian and wrecked as a result.
