I kept waiting for a laugh. The therapist is less funny than any no-lines background character in any previous show. While I don't expect to laugh at all of the jokes, I have never before sat through and episode with no laughs at all. Each show this season gets weaker. The ending of Pickle Rick is genuinely boring! Can anyone think of any other episode where that is true?

This one hits me right in the balls, I really like Rick and Morty but episodes 302-304 had a different tone and were not as great. 303 (Pickle Rick) was the best out of those 3 but it still wasn't amazing. Here's an example of the show being ruined.

SuperNova says, "All these deaths are on your hands Rick"

Rick says, "Well maybe a couple but definitely not 1 mil ants"

SuperNova then hits him in the balls and repeats "ALL OF THEM."

A hit in the nuts is the most stereotypical "girls think guys find it funny" 'joke'. Not to mention where SuperNova was strangling Rick and Morty and they didn't do anything (when Rick is capable of murdering their archenemy when he is blackout drunk). The new writers: "Girls are so much more powerful than men yay female writers"

Pickle Rick and episode 1 were dope. But the one where they are in the mad max land was weak. I rewatched season one and 2 and they're def masterpieces compared to this season which doesn't seem too cohesive.

The show def seems to be toning back the red pill rage it had every episode. Hopefully they just hit it out of park with all the rest of the episodes, but yeah, there's def something off with this new season

I'd much rather they'd make a show for women by women instead of foisting female humor and sensibilities on an already established property.

I personally don't think women can be funny. That's not to say they aren't funny to everyone they just aren't funny to me.

Here's what I'm hoping comes out of this, after season 3: the female writers/editors leave of their own volition, as fast as they abandoned the Ghostbusters reboot ("muh Patriarchy"). Then Rick and Morty goes back to being a cross of Back to the Future and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

I have to say that I was disappointment in season 3. I also feel like something is off, rick is just literally a douchebag and a god now. At this point he don't even need to be smart to get things done.

I also felt like Morty was supposed to evolve and become more bad-ass. But he is now weaker than ever.

But I have seen worse: like in futurama were kif and Leela's father come crawling back to the woman, after the woman cheated on them.

So... we've done this go round each week for the last three weeks.

MGTOW Group A will continue not going their own way, and will complain about female writers, implying that D. Harmon and co would ever possibly read this sub and change.

MGTOW Group B will rightly suggest that since the show is now "compromised", we should vote with our wallets, and stop supporting the show. This action is the more MGTOW option, and supports not acting like petulant children.

MGTOW Group A will pretend to not notice B Groups logic, and will keep crying and wailing.

MGTOW Group A will repost something without checking the front page, and next week, Rick and Mortys female writers will be back up.

The first half of the fourth episode was very choppy with its narrative flow and didn't have that trademark energy. I remember watching it and wondering if they were trying something different. But I enjoyed the hero-SAW parts.

Female writers should always be used only sparingly; in the context of the show runner being male and the majority of the writing staff being male. You have to make them step up to play with the big boys. If they're surrounded by other women, you're going to get the sickening thing you expect.
