Sounds like me in college. I played football, had high status, and was in great shape. Zero success with women because I was so beta and believed in the whole "To win women over you have to be a caring nice guy who cares" bullshit.

I'd have women come onto me and show IOI, then they'd get to know me and I'd repel them like a magnet pretty quickly.

They are attracted to SMV (i.e., power) - if physical features increases SMV, then it's beneficial to attraction. If the guy has sufficient power apart from physique, then it doesn't matter. A billionaire could be a balding, obese hunchback with cystic acne and still have any woman he wanted.

To be honest I am a pretty firm believer in the law of attraction in many things especially women.

Basically, if you believe with 100% conviction it will happen, the odds are it will.

Personally I've self-sabotaged myself countless times (with women & other decisions), just because I didn't believe I was good enough to have thing X or Y.

Until you develop supreme self-confidence in yourself, and you do not have any actual need, then things will come to you naturally.

Well, being too attractive is a thing, too. I make girls literally shake around me sometimes and a lot of girls won't give me a chance. They blow me right off and don't bother with me. Phone numbers that don't ever go anywhere and whatnot.

It's not the most horrible curse in the world, but I feel much, much more comfortable the hotter the girl is. I just feel normal around them. Everyone else can't handle talking to me, because I intimidate them. Growing up, I felt like a fucking reject for years until I kept noticing that only hot girls would really give me the time of day. And yes, it's true that I am extremely 'shallow', but not for the reasons that people might think. It really is because I just don't feel like myself around girls that aren't the hottest of the hot. And another problem is that the most attractive ones are usually either in relationships already, or are so fucking hard to find, depending on where I'm living, that I feel like I'm searching for a needle in a haystack.

So yes, it kinda is true that being attractive helps, but it actually can get pretty lonely for attractive people, too.
