It may be better not to tell them. Are you looking for support from them? I would give this considerable thought before doing so. THink it over for a month or two. Just brush them off when they try to set you up with a woman--make it no big deal.

You are allowed to keep parts of your life private from your friends. This may be one of those things that is in your best interest to withhold.

If they pry just tell them that your busy and don't have time for it. It does no good to explain yourself to others.

I've done this the hard way. I wish I would just of shut up about it and don't even make a big deal about it.

This is easier said than done because the anger stage can be a pain in the ass if you don't handle it correctly.

My sister thinks I hate all women because I said I never want to date or get married ever. So anytime I criticize women she says NAWALT.

Just say your busy and walk away. Then focus on the things you want to think about.

Say little. No need to go into detail and you owe no one any stories.

If a girl you're set up with is hot enough for sex just enjoy the sex. If she's not worth the risk/hassle then walk away. No explanation is required. Women don't give us any explanation most of the time.

My advice is don't advertise this. I do very slowly but only if people push. Then I just say I'm done with dating.

Really solid advice from all of the comments already. I agree the less you say the better. These people don't need to hear your life story. For workmates / acquaintances who you don't see outside of work just say that you're already "seeing someone". Or say that you have a FWB situation going on. Keep it vague. A little mystery does wonders with males & females.

For friends who are more intimate to your immediate social circle now you can mix it up. Tell them that you are dating a married woman at work & that you want to keep info about her on the "QT" because you don't want her husband to find out.

These two scenarios have enough mystery, vagueness & plausible deniability that it should reduce the amount of unsolicited hook up requests. It also buffers you from butthurt reactions from friends (especially females) who take it personally when you don't want to date THEIR friends.

Keep MGTOW topics to yourself or discuss it with like minded people like this sub. MGTOW is so outside of the box that the plugged in blue pill folks will always treat you like a pariah when voice your opinions on the current state of the SMP / women / feminism.

You don't need to explain yourself. Just tell them you want to lay low for a bit or you don't have time to date. Personally, my friend knows me well and knows I am already a mgtow.

You're considering doing it because you FEEL you would derive some validation by seeming edgy, thoughtful, contemplative and by coming accross as a person who can bare the burden of of ideas "incredibly far outside the norm of modern thought."

Let me tell you, you're not special in the way you think you are, MGTOW is not special in the way you think it is.

Get over your ego-investment, realize that your 'dilemma' of whether or not to tell them and your 'concerns' about them are ultimately the expression of the male hamster which wants to be loved or admired by society and women, if not by fucking him, by appreciating his ideas.

I repeat, stop being an attention whore and prioritizing fee fees over facts.

Occasionally friends will try to set me up with a female friend of theirs, or, a woman might approach me in a coffee shop, but I quickly dismiss them (in a nice friendly fashion).
