Hey guys. I'm 36 and floating around the idea of going on trt. Was wondering if anyone on here has been down this road and can share their experience. Thanks.

Losing hair is totally genetic dependent, balls will most likely atrophy you can take HCG to prevent this and maintain fertility.

[–][deleted]  (6 children) | Copy

[–]LucidBananna1 point2 points  (4 children) | Copy

That’s still totally genetic there are guys in there twenty’s with test levels of like 5-600 that are balding. I can run my test levels at over 3000, and I don’t shed at all. You could have low t and shed. It’s not how much test you have it’s you’re sensitivity to dht that’s created from your production of test. As well as other androgens in your body.

[–][deleted]  (3 children) | Copy

[–]LucidBananna1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

3000 isn’t the dose you’re taking it’s the concentration in your blood. Injecting 500mg a week puts me at about 3,000ng/dL. You certainly use the extra test but there’s no point unless you’re trying to put on mass. The sex drive is only crazy for the first few months then I just went back to normal.

Faster muscle growth, much quicker recovery time, more water retention. Estrogen issues if I don’t take an ai.

[–]LucidBananna2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Mine have gotten probably 33 percent smaller but idk why it really matters lol, no girls gonna complain about my ball size. Mines stay that way always some people get more atrophy than others.

[–]circlingdispair4 points5 points  (4 children) | Copy

I've been honestly thinking about doing this. I don't know why its so stigmatized. If given the option why wouldn't I choose to feel awesome and like a man until the day that I kick the bucket. Society isn't going to serve me pussy or drive and success on a plate so if an injection or pellet can get me that then fuck it why the hell not. I'm losing the care if something is natural anymore, nothing is natural anymore.

[–]Delicious_Knowledge10 points11 points  (1 child) | Copy

It's stigmatized because testosterone is associated with savage, aggressive cavemen...unless you're an 8 year old girl who feels like a boy, then they'll prescribe it to you.

Fucked up huh

[–]circlingdispair1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Oh yea, if you're the poor prepubescent kid of some woke karen, PUMP'EM FULL OF HORMONES!! some mentally ill woman thinking shes a man.. UMP'EM FULL OF HORMONES!! some woman who hit the wall and has menopause..UMP'EM FULL OF HORMONES!!

Men who are actually struggling with low t: ... oh man up its in your head...

[–]novalentineforyou3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

It's because doctors are trained to make sick people healthy, not to make healthy people happier. Medical treatments have to be justified with the expected benefit for treating a disease. They can't justify a treatment by saying it won't hurt to try.

[–]mrsmiley8311 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

Not sure where you're at, but here in the U.S. the FDA won't let your test levels go past 1400 before they make you lower the dosage.

[–]novalentineforyou0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

That's totally fine. The upper limit for most young fit dudes is about 1200

[–]asskisser0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

What were the benefits?

[–]EnhancedNatural0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Have you had to take anaztrozole, if yes what dose?

[–]TheRedApprentice49 points50 points  (63 children) | Copy

I'm sure you were already planning on doing so, but I'll say this just in case: Check with your doctor first. They're going to want to do some blood work first to make sure it's safe. Don't fuck with that black market shit.

[–]Temptationn2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

what’s wrong with black market? been on it 6 years and been fine and good bloods

[–]TheRedApprentice0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Doesn't work that way for everybody.

[–]wannaseeawheelie-4 points-3 points  (44 children) | Copy

Why not the black market? Same shit for a better price. If you do your research and get bloodwork done regularly, it’s a way better way to go

A lot of docs prescribe the stupidest fucking TRT protocols. Check out the testosterone and steroid subreddits. You got guys injecting 200mg test c once everday 14 days. I'd much rather manage my own protocol than be forced to do some stupidness like what I just mentioned.

[–]On_The_Tweek_Again14 points15 points  (0 children) | Copy

You’re getting downvoted when you’re right and it’s sad as fuck. As someone who takes gear himself, UG Labs can be just as good as pharma when it comes to Testosterone itself. Testosterone is incredibly cheap and easy to make. You can literally take 7 minutes out of your day and make a whole batch of testosterone enanthate. You’d have to be a very unlucky lad to get bunk Test. It’s just not a faked steroid.

Your blood levels will be absolutely roller coaster’d if you’re only injecting test-c twice a month. You need to inject Test-C twice a WEEK for stable blood levels. Most MDs don’t do much research or studying on endocrinology. They don’t know/care or study enough about TRT to know the BEST protocol. To assume just because someone has a medical license (such as a commenter did on your post) means they’re competent at optimal male hormone replacement protocols is total ignorance.

[–][deleted]  (8 children) | Copy

[–]Delicious_Knowledge6 points7 points  (7 children) | Copy

You're going to see most guys at around 100-125mg weekly, but the dosage is always tailored according to bloods and how you feel. Most guys try to avoid taking an AI when on a TRT dose of test. I agree with this line of thinking.

[–][deleted]  (2 children) | Copy

[–]Delicious_Knowledge5 points6 points  (1 child) | Copy

Because AIs are (harsh) drugs of their own with their own side effects. Most guys like to let their E2 run a bit higher when they increase their test levels.

What's your TRT protocol?

[–]wannaseeawheelie1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy

I like 200-400mg a week. When doing 400 I split it between 2 shots a week

[–]Delicious_Knowledge0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

Even on a cruise of 175mg I inject every other day to reduce hormone fluctuations.

[–]wannaseeawheelie0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

What ether are you using?

[–]Delicious_Knowledge0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

[–]1DonaldBaelish2 points3 points  (19 children) | Copy

Did you just assume that the protocol of someone who put a decade into becoming an MD is just as valuable as your self prescribed protocol?

Also, for things like these, there’s always a second opinion.

[–]TreatYouLikeAQuean16 points17 points  (0 children) | Copy

I would say you are wrong on this actually and I agree with u/Delicious_Knowledge.

The doctors I work with don't know a thing about TRT. One doc I work with prescribes 200 mg IM once a month. ONCE A FUCKING MONTH!

Half-life of Test C is approx. 5 days.

Most doctors today in the U.S. are referring to guidelines that are 10-15 years old. So much has changed and been learned about regarding TRT. You cannot value an MD over everything. There are plenty of doctors that are ignorant about TRT because they don't have the experience in them like they do managing hypertension.

[–]Delicious_Knowledge6 points7 points  (16 children) | Copy

No, it's usually less valuable.

[–]SeasonedRP0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Most doctors don't know anything about TRT, and what little they do know is outdated. The standard 200 mg shot every two weeks isn't ideal for most men.

[–]wannaseeawheelie0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Not that the actual t is better. They are the same since they come from the same pharmacies. I’m pretty sure there’s even cheaper stuff, but I haven’t gone down that road

[–]antoniofelicemunro-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

Have you tried getting TRT from a doctor?

[–]Dimenzije900 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

Risky, stuff out there can be pure posion.

[–]Delicious_Knowledge4 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy

Nothing risky about UGL test as long as you aren't retarded.

[–]mrsmiley8310 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

You have no idea what you're putting in your body doing gear from UGLs. Getting it prescribed is much safer and wiser.

Why not the black market?

Watch the documentary Screwball. Its about the baseball steroid scandal. At one point the demand is too high so they go to this guy that makes it in his garage. Who knows how they make it; probably cut with canola oil. I wouldn't inject myself with it

[–]LucidBananna1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

20%bb 2%ba raw powder the rest your carrier oil of choice.

[–]aegeaorgnqergerh0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

Aww, your comment got book-burned by the "beta" Yanks who inhabit this sub.

You made the big mistake of throwing a genuine sensible solution out there (as in, the actual definition of "The Red Pill") instead of some bullshit pseudo-science aimed at incels that will only make them worse.

For shame. Have an upvote and think about what you did.

[–]wannaseeawheelie0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

I could be wrong... their responses seemed overly emotional to me though

[–]aegeaorgnqergerh1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

No I was being sarcastic! I agree with you. You were right. People were being overly emotional.

[–]Jacked5parrow-2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy

If you have to ask why not black market ANYTHING then you have little knowledge regarding purchasing anything questionable or something that is facilitated through proper quality

Do you also buy shit off of Wish or whatever that shits called

[–]aegeaorgnqergerh-5 points-4 points  (15 children) | Copy

American I'm guessing?

I see the other reply to this has been book-burned (downvoted so it's hidden) but the fact is that a lot of doctors even in a developed country like the UK won't give you TRT unless your levels are really low.

I was 12.2nmol/l and the limit for TRT on the NHS is 11nmol/l. But the measurement is taken from a cross-section of the population - my levels were average for a guy in his 80s.

So I bought it from the "black market" having done a LOT of research on forums and the like. Saved my life, literally. My GP was fully on board, gave me regular bloods - I was healthier than beforehand.

But of course, in America "steroids" are treated like the devil. You also pledge allegiance to the flag every morning in school and are taught that if you're honest, true, don't "cheat" and play by the rules, you could even be President one day! And look who your president actually is. Makes me fucking piss myself laughing!

[–]1pointtwentyone10 points11 points  (3 children) | Copy

[–]aegeaorgnqergerh-2 points-1 points  (2 children) | Copy

I realise I came across as overly annoyed, but it is a good point.

Trump literally admits to grabbing women by the pussy and people lose their shit (men and women). But for everyone woman and man out there saying how disgusting he is there are a million of their sisters pushing to the front of the queue saying "fuck that, grab this pussy".

[–]alphakari2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

Ehhhh. You don't know much about Americans, huh?

[–]aegeaorgnqergerh0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

[–]anonimo420 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Don't know man. I agree with him

[–]aegeaorgnqergerh-4 points-3 points  (6 children) | Copy

Honestly, I'm just fed up with America's bizarre attitude to steroids. Look at how the guy's comment got downvoted and attacked for making rational sensible advice.

Kind of sums up the idea of the Red Pill for me. Guys who have reasonable and proven solutions all laid out for them, but they don't care. The world is against them somehow, and everything is driven by anger and fear.

[–]manxsir2 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy

Ya man totally agree it's quite frowned upon in the US and Canada. But for real there is a reason Jeff Bezos is on TRT, and it's not only for looks. More for quality of life in my opinion.

The other aspect is people don't like you having this "advantage", they are jealous or they simply don't really understand what it is. But good on you for taking your quality of life into your own hands.

[–]aegeaorgnqergerh1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

Bezos is fucking killing the whole PED game. He's not on TRT, he looks like he's on high-dose test, possibly a quick blast of Tren, and definitely on HGH.

For reference, HGH (Human Growth Hormone) is amazing, but very expensive life elixir. A low "therapeutic" dose is why people like Jennifer Aniston looks the same as she did 20 years ago, and at a higher dose is why Bezos looked like a fucking 40 year old loser in his 20s but now looks like a badass in his mid 50s. Admittedly bodybuilding has taken it too far, and is why a lot of guys in competition nowadays have that "bloat" in their guts which you never saw with the likes of Arnie or Dorian Yates.

On your last point - this is true. I've often though about just keeping it quiet so it's "my thing" but I honestly do want to help people. It angers me that so many guys have such fucked lives and this is something (among other things) that could really help them.

And enough people get angry and dismiss it that I suppose it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

[–]manxsir2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

haha ok thats a little far bezos is not on tren. That shit is super bad for you, even higher than trt doses of test is bad for you.

[–]aegeaorgnqergerh0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

When that photo of him at the big business conference (I forget the name) was doing the rounds, plenty of people on steroid forums I'm on said it looked like a tren cycle. Obviously know way of knowing, but it isn't quite as extreme as people make out, and would have that effect in a relatively short amount of time.

Tren and high dose test aren't that bad for you if you take the right precautions. People like Dorian Yates were blasting insane doses for years and never had any bad blood markers and are perfectly healthy now.

I wouldn't want to take it at that level for years myself, but I'd struggle to come up with a reasoned scientific argument as to why, and would have to admit it's just "intuition" - as in, reading people saying "it's bad for you" on the internet.

[–]SeasonedRP0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Tradcons hate TRT, and there are a lot of tradcons on here who claim to be RP but aren't.

[–]aegeaorgnqergerh1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

What's a tradcon?

[–]circlingdispair0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Fortunately this is changing albeit slowly in the US. There are now men's health clinics that deal specifically with this and their number is steadily increasing. Basically male doctors who specialize with men's issues like testosterone and the like.

[–]aegeaorgnqergerh0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Indeed. But they have to batter a brick wall down every time.

And I'm not saying it's perfect in the UK either, far from it as I detailed.

[–]Sweatingtoomuch13 points14 points  (13 children) | Copy

I’m 22 and have been on a compounded T cream for about 8 weeks now and love it. I apply it daily to my scrotum and libido is through the roof. Being quarantined with this high of libido has got me swiping right on chubby girls daily on Tinder.

If you’re on the fence about it, I’d say just take the dive and don’t look back. If your T levels are low then I guarantee you’ll have zero regrets of jumping on TRT. Spend some time researching and lurk around in the /Testosterone sub so you can get a good understanding of how it all works and what to look out for in the future if you need to make adjustments to your own protocol (which you probably will).

[–]izzyinjurious15 points16 points  (0 children) | Copy

This made me fucking LOL. Swiping right on tubbies. Fucking Christ. Thank you for the laugh.

[–]Delicious_Knowledge2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

Switch over to frequent injections my dude. You won't regret it.

[–]Sweatingtoomuch2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Honestly I probably will at some point just because it’s more convenient. I get my blood test back this week but the compounded T cream is becoming more and more popular especially when applied to the scrotum as it absorbs a lot better and converts a lot of it to DHT, which I suspect is the main culprit for the wild libido and increased sense of well being.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (9 children) | Copy

how low were your T levels to be taking it at 22? i'm 21 and just curious

[–]Sweatingtoomuch3 points4 points  (8 children) | Copy

I live a pretty healthy and regimented lifestyle for the most part. I’m in good physical shape, Weight lifting 5-6 days a week (heavy ass deadlifts are my favorite), clean diet high in animal protein and fats with lower carbs, lots of sunlight (live in SoCal), sleep hygiene, cold showers, photobiomodulation therapy, cold showers, mindfulness etc.

I go out drinking with friends maybe twice a month and eat crappier food maybe 5 times a month and my T levels were about 600 total. 600 isn’t clinically low but for my lifestyle and age it’s quite frustrating to only be at that over years of this lifestyle. Went to a men’s health clinic and got on the T cream and absolutely love it. Feels like where I should’ve been naturally but could never get to.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy

ah I got mine tested about 6 months ago when I was at my worst. I was sick as hell for a couple weeks (and this was a chronic condition that’d reappear), hadn’t worked out in months and shitty sleep. Didn’t know wtf was wrong with me. All my bloodwork was fine except i never got Test or Vit D tested before. Turns out T levels were 600 (31 total) too but vitamin D deficiency.

Started supplementing with vit D and zinc and i started feeling way better from there on out. I never even lifted at that time I only got into the gym this January and put on muscle pretty quickly.

My libido also skyrocketed after i started supplementing and hitting the gym + nofap. I’m curious what my T levels are now that I feel a lot better lol.

[–]Sweatingtoomuch1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

Yea Vitamin D deficiency is way too common these days. I’ll take 15,000 iu for a few days if I feel a cold or something coming on and it seems to work.

Libido definitely increased from nofap for me too which makes sense cause your holding it all in. I was doing all of that and still couldn’t up my levels.

I wouldn’t be surprised if your T levels started going up as a result of increased vit D levels.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

yeah I remember I was at day 40ish on my last streak and hitting gym 5x a week. I was horny as fuck everyday and irritable as hell.. I'd get mad over the smallest shit lol

[–]Sweatingtoomuch0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Feels good though. Even if it doesn’t increase Testosterone it sure feels like it.

[–][deleted]  (3 children) | Copy

[–]Sweatingtoomuch0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

Damn that sucks man. Have you tried finding a men’s health clinic?

[–][deleted]  (1 child) | Copy

[–]Sweatingtoomuch0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Since you’re younger most places will probably want to exhaust other options and make TRT last resort but it’s definitely worth seeing what they have to say.

[–]mrsmiley8315 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

I'm 34 and on trt, after blasting and cruising gear for over 3 years. Might do another mild "blast" in the future, but right now I'm just cruising on 200mg per week (doctor prescribed). Test levels are around 1100, which is where I want to be.

Bottom line, you need to get your levels checked. I personally would avoid regular doctors, and instead go to a trt clinic (usually also called anti aging clinics). If your levels are low but not super low, you might just need to make some lifestyle changes such as get better sleep, exercise, better diet, ect.

[–]RedRiver04152 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

I am. Make sure you get regular blood work done, before going on it. It is best to stay natty as long as possible. When I hit 37, I noticed I was having problems sleeping and my recovery from workouts took longer. When I went in for my physical, the doctor had me do a blood panel. My test was slightly lower than it should be. Just getting a small dose has helped me a bunch.

[–]theyearsstartcomin1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

having problems sleeping

What sort of problems?

[–]LucidBananna2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Steroids user but use trt or a cruise between blasts. Get regular blood work done speak with a doctor, your normal doctor probably won’t be knowledgeable on it men’s anti aging clinics, trt clinics, or seeing and endo are all good options. Trt clinics can be pricy and don’t always want to give you a vial to inject yourself but rather come in. So a doctor or endo is usually your best bet.

[–]pbudg0212 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

I'm 33 and have been taking TRT for about 4 months. I had blood work done after experiencing typical symptoms of low T. My test level came back at the very low end of "normal". Being in Canada, the doctor wouldn't perscribe TRT unless testosterone falls below the determined cut-off level.

I decided to jump on underground testosterone regardless. It goes without saying that it's not a good idea to take TRT without a doctors supervision. However, since starting weekly injections, I feel better and generally have a more optimistic life outlook. Physically, my body composition has noticeably improved.. more muscle and lower body fat.

I haven't noticed any negative side effects such as atrophied testicles, aggression, acne or hairloss. However, it's important to routinely have blood work done to make sure everything is OK. So long as blood work comes back normal, I have no plans of ever coming off of TRT.

[–]cjnu1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

How tf do u guys get doctor-prescribed testosterone treatments? Is this a US thing? That’s absurd ngl...

[–]circlingdispair0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

In the US there are TRT/Mens health clinics now that actually take men seriously when they talk about this shit. If the doctor deems it "necessary" insurance will cover it. Some injections can be as cheap as $20 a week.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Try getting it up naturally first then if it don’t work then hop on TRT. Eat fats and protein, Lift, Nofap and Noporn, avoid drinking from plastic bottles and take supplements like Ashwagandha Vitamin D Fish Oil. I’ve gotten my levels up doing that

[–]manxsir1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy

I just started with ugl test from online like few weeks ago.. but im only 23

[–]manxsir0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Ya man its illegal steroids (well, legal in my country). But does make you feel good and gets you big gains in the gym. Not recommending it by any means just sharing some insight

I live a pretty active lifestyle and have some pretty tough jobs like planting trees in northern Canada and food delivery on a bike which makes it tough to recover from. Plus I wanted to look like chris bumstead and bodybuilders and feel great like high testosterone feels.

Thats pretty much why i started it

[–]aegeaorgnqergerh0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

Get your levels checked.

There's a lot of research being done that suggests (strongly) that TRT could be the golden bullet for male suicides. Look at a graph of male suicides by age, and natural testosterone levels by age, the correlation is staggering.

I myself used to suffer awfully from panic attacks and anxiety, and while I didn't suffer from them myself, low test also causes lack of drive, lack of confidence, low mood, depression, poor sleep cycle, etc etc.

But if you don't have low test, it won't do much for you.

[–][deleted]  (2 children) | Copy

[–]aegeaorgnqergerh0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Jesus christ, I realise now I didn't make it 100% clear (see my other reply to the downvoted post) but obviously I mean TRT solved them.

Like, within weeks. Like a new person. Who'd have thought that injecting the primary male hormone I was short of, the thing which has such a massive control over things like mood, emotion, drive, confidence, outlook on life, etc, would make such a big difference?
