Different guys go different ways. Some go full on "monk mode" and learn to ignore or eliminate any urges. I personally don't understand how, but they do. Others invest in high end equipment, some go to professionals, some just do one night stands. I've decided for me that I'm not doing cohabitation again under any circumstances, and I'm not pursuing any long term relationships, but a casual relationship isn't out of the question.

I currently have a fuck buddy I've been hanging out with for a little over a year, but we're not dating or anything. Just two friends who both enjoy being single, we got drunk and fucked one night then decided to keep doing that. The only form of "exclusive" we have is she asked me not to sleep with one particular woman, who her ex husband cheated on her with before they got divorced. That seems like a fair request, plus I have a business relationship with that woman so it would be a bad idea anyway.

It's all about finding what works for you and sticking to that. Avoid entrapments like marriage and kids, and you'll be fine. Don't fall so hard that you'd be distraught if it ended, sounds like you did last time. And honestly, I think three years is a long time to get over someone, it might be worth looking at therapy or something like that. But it's your choice, that's the beauty of MGTOW. It's not fear or a lack of trust in my case. I genuinely cannot find a valid reason to actually BE in a relationship. What can a potential girlfriend/woman bring to the table? Sex? I can easily get sex almost anytime I want (as can any man). When a woman tries her manipulative tactics on me with her box as a dangling carrot, I lose ALL interest. I've had women come across ballrooms just to get my attention. I find the modern woman morally repugnant. They are irredeemable at this point. They are arrogant, delusional and bring nothing of value to any type of partnership. Getting into a relationship with one of these creatures is akin to buying a full grown really dumb non house-trained disloyal dog. Seriously. Nothing but cute drama at first that eventually will evolve into a henious consistent nightmare of a decision. I'd still be responsible for 100% of my obligations while being dragged down by her obligations as well.

I never get bored....EVER!! We live on a beautiful blue planet with so much to see & do. My geographic location is AWESOME. I can go skiing (ACTUAL skiing...I'm not into drugs, lol). I can go hiking, I can go to a Nascar races, any professional sport I choose. I can hang out with friends over a fire-pit with a case of beer. I can cheer for my local little league/High School teams - all sports. I can donate my time helping others more unfortunate than myself. I can view art at my local museum, I can support buddies that currently play in a band..... I can go on & on....

MY POINT: a woman would wreck ALL of that. "It's too hot out, it's too cold, too many mosquitoes, I don't like those kids or their parents...blah, blah, blah, blah, blah....." The world is too beautiful NOT to explore....I refuse to let some broad slow me down.

Over two months of being Monk myself and plan to be long term if not indefinitely.

I can't see a relationship adding anything fruitful to my life at all as much as I would love that to be true. I think we all yearn for that unicorn scenario where things work out, but I've completely faced the red-pilled fact that it is essentially impossible.

I've also noticed the men around me in my life are absolutely MISERABLE in their marriages or relationships, it's like the men that been completely broken in by a slave master. I remember going to a party awhile back when my partner and I split, I had to pick my whole life and start over. Yet when I went to the party a lot of the married men were bitching about their lives and the regrets they have and how lucky I was to be free to do whatever I want. The only time they can peacefully see each other is when they have family gatherings, they aren't allowed to spend time outside of their wives with each other.

I also honestly can't think of a man in a relationship or marriage in my circle other than my parents and grandparents that are happy. My friend that got married 6 months ago is also a miserable bastard, the reality of it all is starting to set in now that the honeymoon phase is over while his wife is on social media 24/7. His potential and dreams are no longer an option and he's having an absolute crisis because of it. Hell, my neighbor's wife is screeching at him right now after he returned from work, apparently, he doesn't do enough around the house.

From my own experience, women absolutely are not capable or willing to bring joy to a man's life. Relationships are about them alone, they expect you to step into their world and bring them something (Seriously, have a look at the women around you, they literally preach that they are "Queens" and deserve better for absolutely no reason at all). Men are getting hurt because they thought the women would be bringing them something in the relationship.

GYOW is the key to finding true fulfillment and happiness as a man in the modern-day.

I honestly don't know. I was actually thinking about this earlier.

I'm a massive fan of Patrice O'Neal and always admired the way he trained his bitch to think along the same lines as a man - ALTHOUGH, now Patrice is sadly no longer with us, she has stolen money from fellow fans under the guise of creating a documentary about him, rakes in tens of thousands from his benefits every year, and is probably one bad month away from opening an OF account too. Point being, that it was most likely an act.

I think that if I knocked a girl up I'd probably try and do the relationship thing because of the empirical data around kids raised by single parents... having saying that, I could honestly see myself going for some milk as soon as they mentioned 'doggos'.

being in relationships never made me feel “whole & fulfilled” as some people put it. Once the initial buzz of getting in a relationship wore off, I just felt like I had another liability on my hands that got more & more expensive.

After that initial high of meeting and getting together I think our brains return to about the same baseline contentment as before. I pursue things that bring me fulfillment, but women just aren’t one of them anymore.

Here, and when i say here i mean it.

It is incredible the amount of negativity that my ex-wife brought upon me, with only 31 i was in bad physical shape, very high cholesterol, in debt (although not so high) and in an average job that i didn't like, on top of that, like you, i saw her with a new guy just one week after i left our (thankfully) rented place.

When i got divorced I left with only my clothes on the trunk of my then old car.

Now at 34 i have never been in such a good shape, almost inmediately after i started exercising, eating better and changing my sleep schedule my health recovered, got a better higher paid job (mainly because now i was more ambitious and wanted more) became debt free, have good savings, two cars and got a nice apartment.

Not only have i found true happiness, but also a community of like minded individuals who challenge and guide me; it do get better once you come to the realization that they're simply not worth the risk, and only focus on yourself.

I just can't see women the same after all the things I've seen and personally experienced. People say Mgtow is bs (NAWALT) but I swear there is so much proof everywhere you look you just can't deny it. The moment I knew something was wrong was when my first love dumped me the second my life wasn't going well. I wasn't sure how they could love me and then drop me the second it got inconvenient. 26 year old here (well soon to be). Currently in my 8th year of being single. The first and last girlfriend if I could call her that was someone I dated in my final year of high school who for all intents and purposes was what many would consider an incredible woman... She was a year younger than me, one of the top academic students, got excellent physique from being a top level swimmer (was even making national team at one point). So I honestly thought I had hit gold.

Note at this point I was still under the allure that women were this mystical thing and bought into the societal propaganda hook line and sinker. But a strange dichotomy was that I never bought into the idea of ever having children or marriage. Honestly my goal was to find a woman who I could share interests in and explore this world with and the two of us would be enough of a family. Hell I would even reconsider marriage for someone like (back then that is). So I had a bit of a red pill leaning personality naturally which was at odds with what society taught me so to fit I thought I had made it with her.

Fast forward a couple of months and I find she is still seeing her ex boyfriend regularly. My jealousy kicks into overdrive and I think to myself what the hell. Why would you be simultaneously trying to work things out with a failed relationship and make a new relationship at the same time. Some fighting happens, we break up and within a week shes with a new boyfriend.

Misery sets in for a while and for the first time in my life I am forced to do some introspection. And the first hard hitting question I could not find a single answer to (till this day) was: "sex aside, what benefits does a relationship give that I cannot give myself?"

I can't talk about my views with my friends because I always got the same answer of you will find the right one or something along those lines but that's not what I want to hear. So did some research and bloody hell am I glad I found you lot of crazy level headed assholes. Thank you for making me feel like I was not going crazy for thinking I was being fed a load of lies.

So yes to put a long story short. I thought I found a unicorn when I was 18. broke at around 19 years with her cause she was essentially playing the field and I was mainly having my turn with her. Started asking fundamental questions and the answers disappointed me so much that I lost total interest in dating ever again. 8 years down the line and I have only ever had one girlfriend in my life. (Any lurker already assuming I am incel not that I give a shit about opinions anymore to honest) I still hooked up till the age of 22 years in the night life/club seen and even then I got tired of that because it was a money drain. Now 4 years straight been monk (no dates, hookups or escorts). I do occasionally use my hand but even that has become effort. I almost certain I will eventually lose all sexual desire at the rate I am going.

Wonder of one can become asexual cause of life? An interesting question for another thread.

I think I'm still at the stage where I'd be willing to entertain a relationship. I haven't gone as far as some of you guys. But I am at the point where I fully understand life is not a fairy tale and most relationships end in ruin, and god help you if you have kids or are married when that happens.

I talk to girls every now and then but I've blackpilled myself to such an extent that if I ever fall for someone again, that girl will be as close as it gets to a unicorn. ME - Guaranteed. TBH I was always red pilled but not in the true nature, what I mean is that I only ever saw women as sexual beings nothing more. Apart from sex, women brought nothing and were full of drama and just chaos.

I never met a woman I admired, was talented, passionate about a real cause, understanding etc... Then I went and wifed up because I truly wanted children. Surprise surprise that ended and I am now so totally reinforced and galvanised to the futility and emptyness of women. Added to that, and this is the key, I am reconciled and content to the fact that we as individuals (not just men) are alone in this world and there is nothing wrong with that, its just the way it is. Removing the notion / belief that you have to have someone in your life is very liberating
