Chris Brown used those lyrics and suddenly it became a pop culture sensation. A man who beat his girlfriend, sings about coercive sexual acts, and is still a full blown abuser that his most recent ex has a restraining order.
And HE wants women to be loyal.....đź‘€

He was also accused of rape last year while in Paris, and has 13 felonies.

Innocent men get killed while others walk around with 13 felonies just looking for the next one and no one does anything.

well can we just talk about the women who are abused and killed every year by these violent men? not trying to downplay the men who could be innocent, but let's focus on the women as this whole subreddit is focused on women.

wise words from my African-American studies professor "don't be like Chris Brown, talking 'bout 'these hoes ain't loyal!' Well I wouldn't be loyal to you either!"
[–]QueenRizlaFDS Newbie26 points27 points28 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Wait, why the fuck is he allowed to travel with 13 felonies?
[–]Gaki-fan-too2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Because money.

Cancelling is one of those things which only work if you believe in it, like voodoo.

He wants to be king.

It’s either this or combined with “I’m broke, have nothing to offer and have baggage like kids or ex wives and she decided to move on and not deal with all that crap”
[–]Caedere01FDS Newbie17 points18 points19 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I mean, this is coming from an abusive dude whose ex literally has a restraining order against him.
[–]Suome51 points52 points53 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
They treat you like crap and then they’re shocked when you get up and leave lol

I have been thinking about this. Is it possible that any man talking about the importance of loyalty is a red flag for a man who doesn’t actually deserve it?
Ie, with my friends we have never expressly talked about loyalty. We love each other and that’s that, respect and kindness underlies all our interactions so the topic does not come up. It’s a non-issue.
Vs, I had a date a few weeks ago where the guy said loyalty is in his opinion the most important quality in a woman. I couldn’t help thinking that there is some dirt buried there, because why else would it come up.
[–]QueenRizlaFDS Newbie24 points25 points26 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Good point, I get bad vibes from it. I think it sounds off. Like forgive me for anything throw at you = loyal
[–]QueenRizlaFDS Newbie7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Loyalty is a term used a lot in gangster/mafia movies, meaning won’t snitch to the cops about criminal behaviour or help hide dead bodies. Those guys are always portrayed as treating women like shit and have mistresses.

Fuckbois demanding loyalty in every single song they do even though they don't deserve it 🙄
[–]hyacinthgirl95FDS Newbie7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They don’t realize loyalty goes both ways. It takes two to tango. 🙄
[–]jetpatchAt-Risk Pick Me Youth21 points22 points23 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Why are men trying to push loyalty as a thing now rather than commitment?
I wonder 🤔
[–]StragglingShadow2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I assume when people say "these hoes aint loyal" theyve been cheated on. Hence the use of "hoe" and the part about not being loyal. Huge difference between cheating and leaving someone after realizing their worth. Cheaters are disgusting. I cheer for those who leave relationships they arent valued in
[–]rinabeanFDS Disciple16 points17 points18 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You are being way too charitable! Do you think when men call women bitches it means they're mean, too?
[–]beesarecool4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Chris brown was an abuser, what tends to happen in those relationships is that they accuse their partner of cheating 24/7, restricting their access to seeing anyone but them, and blowing the smallest thing they do out of proportion and use it as proof that they’re cheating (in a lot of cases it’s projection because they themselves are cheating).
[–]radbobokin3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
it’s probably equally likely that the guy cheated on his girl, she appropriately left him, and now he’s all “these hoes ain’t loyal”.
