In case you're like me and want to know everything about any cause you're considering donating to, here is the website of Exodus Cry, the 501C(3) non profit that is hosting this campaign: https://exoduscry.com/

The change.org petition and traffickinghub.com website doesn't (imo) adequately explain what donations will go to--whether they will be used just to fund the trafficking hub campaign or if they will be donations to the Exodus Cry--but exodus cry's web page on donations does a little bit better: https://exoduscry.com/donate/ There's an Amazon Smile link on there too, so if you shop Amazon you should use that link and Amazon will donate a portion of your purchase to Exodus Cry.

They have a podcast and a documentary on netflix, all linked on their site. They're also apparently Christian, if that matters to you. (I find it noteworthy considering the thread yesterday about Ned Flanders, haha.) According to their 2018 tax filing, in 2018 they only have one full time staff member, and most of their paid staff are men. (Again, Neds?) Overall, this organization seems well organized and is making moves, but I'm going to check out their media.

Honestly, I think this petition is a waste of time. They won’t be shut off, and even if they will, there are thousands of other websites.

I think there can be a change, but it should be approached differently. For example, emphasizing how pornography makes young men dysfunctional, how it causes ED, addiction and lack of motivation due to quick dopamine release and inability to enjoy sex due to them getting used to more extreme porn.

Another option is to promote ethical pornography that focuses on women pleasure, for example directors like Erica Lust or actors like Owen Gray or Manuel Ferrara. Spread the idea of abuse and rape of women, of poor treatment of gay and bisexual men.

Just trying to ban it makes us no different from religions fanatics. We need to emphasize how it harms people, and mostly young men (because let’s be honest, society doesn’t care about women who are victims of rape, especially if they are sex workers). Nofap and noporn movements are basically hijaked by alt right, so we need to take it back. To shame men who watch porn, because they are wasting their time and get addicted to quick dopamine, and not because “it’s a sin”. To spread the idea that watching porn is juvenile and embarrassing, and may be acceptable in very small doses (like alcohol for example) but generally not welcome.
