I just read something that reminded me of my pickmeisha days and I have to share it because I can't believe I let it go.

So for the first birthday I was together with my NV ex, in the few weeks leading up to it he went on and on about what he was going to get me, not actually telling me but hinting that it was expensive and something I'd really love. I was really looking forward to my birthday for weeks because he made out like he was making a huge effort. My birthday swings around and he gave me a card and told me he ran out of money. Then SHOWED ME ON HIS PHONE WHAT HE "HAD BEEN PLANNING TO GET". And when I looked at him blankly, he said "well they're really nice aren't they? It's the thought that counts". I was an unbelievably pick-me pickmeisha so I dropped it and moved on 🤡🤡🤡 but even then I was thinking wtf do you mean it's the thought that counts?? You thought about buying me something and I'm supposed to be grateful because it's a nice, expensive thing THAT YOU DID NOTHING BUT THINK ABOUT??

Want to know what it was? A set of really expensive make up brushes that I didn't want or need. The ex he wasn't over probably would have liked them though, since she was a make up artist.

Or maybe he thought I didn't have the right tools since I wasn't wearing my clown make up.

🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

Don't EVER believe a man's promises until he follows through.

P. S. This same guy would watch me while I was doing my make up and tell me I was doing it wrong and his ex did it xyz way. I didn't change the way I did my make up but I also didn't kick him in the dick so 🤡🤡🤡
