I started already in 2019. My ex kept texting me and then ghosting when I would respond. I had enough. I didn't want him back. Why did I give him the attention he craved? Why was I trying to act unbothered by him? He needs to know he doesn't exist to me anymore. May was when I deleted and blocked his phone. The week before my birthday, months later, was when I blocked his ass on social media. He never tried that avenue, but why leave the option open? Why let him get the satisfaction of stalking my social media for intel? Why even revel in the fact that he can SEE how well I'm doing without him? He doesn't need access to me at all.

You can't be bothered by them if they can't reach you. And this is how you move on. You can't forget them if you're hoping for a sign that they miss you or have regret. You can't move on by posting passive aggressive public posts directed at them KNOWING they are looking. Just BLOCK them and be done with them.

Rather be alone living my peaceful life doing what makes me content, even, happy.

For sure. Immediately stopped the (albeit infrequent) pleasantries I was exchanging with my ex’s friends after we broke up. The friends were mostly bigoted assholes who enjoy debating Trump over Facebook comments of each other’s shared articles, and I’m ashamed of having associated with them for so long out of “love” for my ex/hoping everyone would grow up and out of those opinions eventually. Surprise, they haven’t, and I’m better off not knowing them. I don’t need that toxicity in my life.

Done girl! Blocked a “friend” on all platforms after he got upset that I didn’t want a sexual relationship while he has a gf! He got hostile and started bashing my choice in men and calling me non stop. Men suck. Boy bye!

I finally did this to my ex in Feb who had been stringing me along for over three years. It's entirely my fault that I allowed him to treat me that way. I was completely naive. He was "separated" for the majority of our so-called relationship. I remember it hurt so much when I broke up with him the first time but he just showed me with his actions how much he wouldn't do for me. I hate how naive I was. He left me in the ER to go to the gym once. Who even does that??? And I STAYED with him after that. Eventually he reeled me back in after that breakup but lied about his relationships again so I finally cut him off completely last Valentine's Day. I finally, finally had enough self respect to prioritize my own heart. I blocked him everywhere but he emailed/left voicemails every few weeks. Still does in fact. I have not responded. His messages to me continue to be about him, his feelings, how sad he is, how sorry, how his life has gone to shit. How his girlfriend left him (lol) after I cut him off. Yeah, I cut him off because he told me he had broken up with her to be with me but he really hadn't. And then he got back with her?? Who does that if they actually want the loving supportive partner he claimed he wanted? Also, how convoluted is this story? An inability to be alone is an enormous red flag and this man always has some female living with him. My silence is the loudest fuck off I'm willing to give. I look forward to the day when I think about him for the last time.

I'm brand new to this sub and other subs criticize this place for hating on men, for "arguing in bad faith", for never being satisfied with any answers from men for why they are the way they are. My life experience has brought me here and looking back I've never had a relationship with a man who wasn't a complete piece of shit to me. And I actually am a catch. I'm pretty, talented, creative, highly educated, gainfully employed, lovely and HAPPY. I will continue to make myself happy and I don't care if I'm celibate for the rest of my life. I have my self-respect and that is inherently satisfying. So yes, any man who comes along will have to bring plenty to the table if I'm willing to give him any of my precious time. I will never again be a pickmesha.

TLDR: Cut him off. Just do it. He's earned your coldness. Your personhood demands it.

Already did it! One of my exes popped up right as Im getting engaged, he was begging me for a second chance and to not go through with marrying my current man, and then, when I wouldnt give in, he tells me that my man isnt really the one AND he took a jab at my financial situation, BLOCKED him, immediately. Now my blocked box is filled with "sorry sorry sorry" but nuh uh I aint having it fuck that 😈

Just blocked a major clinger. He gave me an ultimatum about being exclusive and when I said I wanted to date casually, he lost his shit, sent me a bunch of nasty crap, then blocked me out of nowhere.

So I blocked him back and I'm getting 3 weird friend and follow requests from ppl I don't know....
