One thing I hate about myself and had for most of my life is that I smile involuntarily - even when I really don't feel like it. It's the worst when someone "jokingly" offends me. I don't find it funny, inside I'm fuming, but on the outside my mouth forms a wide smile :)

It makes people not take me seriously, they think it's okay for them to say/do some things because I smiled. I then focus on trying NOT to smile and can't form a proper comeback. Idk, my body hates me? I can never be respected when I act like that, but I feel helpless.

Do any of you struggle with something similar? It's such a stupid little issue, but I will never be the woman I want to be if I keep smiling at those douchebags. How do you gain control over such thing?
