With my ex bf I would just straight up remind him he hadn't asked me about my day, it worked maybe 25% of the time before he'd go back to talking about himself. It wasn't like he was speaking about anything important or urgent either. It was like he'd never had an opportunity to speak before.

And moids wonder how we know when they're lying, they litterally can't keep their mouths shut and will talk themselves into suspicion.

Ugh. Yes. Ime most guys can really rattle on about themselves. My theory is that they are sooooo repressed from not having any actual friends or connections so they just latch on to women because they associate women with their mommies. I went out to dinner with a guy who rambled on about his spreadsheets and financial analysis at work in exhaustive detail and I was totally checked out and instead mentally thinking about what outfit I was going to wear the next day.

I feel like this happens a lot to me especially with “alpha” men, they’re so caught up in telling me about themselves or their accomplishments or showing off how funny/witty they are that asking about me is an after thought.

Yuck, "alpha" men. It's a ruse. All an act. They're trying to impress and they're trying to set up a dynamic that makes you the meek, submissive woman who's always listening to him, and him the strong, decisive "leader" who is above you. lol

They're seriously self-absorbed. I see this a lot with pseudo-intellectual guys especially.

Was at a cafe the other day where a couple two tables ahead of me were on a date. The guy would just not shut up. He kept prattling on about how unique he was for deeply relating to country music and barely let the woman get a word in edgewise. Never asked her questions. The two times she tried to add her own thoughts he either looked at his phone and flat out did not answer (wtf?) or told her she's wrong and circled back to talking about himself. She was all big smiles and laughter and well dressed and the dude didn't look anywhere near put together. It was so frustrating that she even let the date go on as long as she did, I really hope she comes to her senses and drops his ass. Women are way too tolerant :/

I went on a couple dates with a guy that constantly talked about himself and then seemed visibly bored if I talked about myself. I opted out of a third date.

I had a long term, live in relationship where the guy would literally come home and drone on about every single detail of his boring ass job. Every. Single. Day. And then he would call his mom every Sunday and do the same shit to her. God he was so boring and so bad in bed. I couldn't deal with it anymore and cut him loose. Good luck to him I guess.
