I can’t agree with you more. I ignored my now-BF after a couple of days of texting because he didn’t set a date. He proceeded to spam my phone until I replied. Once I replied, he very quickly asked to set up our first date. GIRLS, DONT FEEL LIKE YOU ARE BEING MEAN. You’re doing them a favor.

When I first started dating my fiancé I made a point of deleting his number after every date so I would not be tempted to text him. I did that for about 4-5 months.

I don't text men. At all. There is no nuance and it's too easy for them to lie. It's also just lazy. They can call me on the phone or talk to me face to face. I'm VERY old school (and old, haha). If they won't do that, then they're cut off. I also accept hand-written notes and letters. No, I am not kidding.

If you have a genuine connection and enjoy speaking to each other then isn't ignoring texts like abandoning that? Like if you have interesting stuff to say to each other and you're both engaged in the conversation then why not embrace that?
