I take every chance I get to educate men and women about this . Men love acting like they have a leg up on women when it comes to fertility when they really don’t. Society loves making women out to be defective so whenever a couple in their mid to late thirties have fertility issues it’s automatically ASSUMED it’s the woman and people don’t bother with investigating if the man is the problem smh.

It's almost as if sperm quality, motility and count goes down when they hit 30 😂 I've had this arguement on other forums like Quora and they always try to rebuttle it with fake news/outdated and inaccurate sources.

Female fertility doesn't even decline at 30. It somewhat slows down, then makes a slight decline by 35 and starts around 40. It's why we see "the wall" for both genders in mid fifties where I'm from and it's more than fertility alone.

I struggled with this concept a lot when deciding to fully leave things with my NVM ex fiancé. He’ll be 38 this year and I’ll be 28. He has 3 kids and I have none and would have wanted my family to be with him. But, his second child was born with autism, and third child (which he hid from me but that’s a whole other issue) had medical problems and was unclear whether it would make it to full term - the child ended up being born okay, but there was a lot of risk.

Both of those things worried me as far as having future kids with him - not that there’s anything wrong with anyone involved, but I felt guilty thinking my future kids would have a higher chance of autism or other genetic issues, probably because of him.... I feel awful even saying that, but it was a big consideration for me.

I assumed they were able to later on in life because more than likely the partner was younger. Rarely do you see 50(m) and 50(f) having babies.

But you do see 50 (m) and 25(f) having babies.

My dad had me when he was 46. I think it's just the matter of what age people are more comfortable having children.

Even though sperm is affected by aging, that CDC research can’t be used as proof of that. That graph’s relevance is more sociologic than biologic.
