Yeah they don't tell you because they don't care.

Came here to say this. Men don't communicate because they do not care to communicate. They want to keep you in the land of confusion, uncertainty, and overthinking because it gives them all the power without them having to do a damn thing!

Sometimes I have to pull up the FDS handbook post about how texting is the lowest possible effort thing. It really is so small, especially as a man infatuated with you WILL show it. If he doesn't, then he's not interested or he lacks initiative. Not sexy.

Not to mention he's most likely on his phone all day anyway 🙄 no excuse for these clowns not to respond.

This is true!! They're always on their stupid phones!! My ex was always on his phone but it literally almost takes him 24 hours to fucking reply to me. On the other hand I touch my phone only when I need. I own an iPhone and the battery is always still above 50% when I get home but I reply with maximum of 3 hours late (I mean I have a life too) LOL.
I pointed it out to him before when we were overseas, having romantic dinner, and he was on his phone (jesus christ). He had the audacity to say "are you doubting me? Do you want to read my messages? I'll show them."
dude got so fucking defensive lol. I told him I don't care about his messages but he needs to put the damn phone down right now.

Yeah they conveniently aren't on the phone when you're not around but suddenly on the phone when you are? That's called not being interested in me. And these dudes really expect us to stick around. Unreal 🙄

Seriously. It’s not that hard.

Yep if we can do it so can they. They just don't care and it's part of their breadcrumb bullshit.

The amount of breadcrumbing I received in my past relationship is revolting. And I’m gluten free, I’m sick.

Every man I've ever been interested in has been a breadcrumber. I have far more respect for the men who just outright rejected me because they didn't think i was attractive for one reason or another (even if those reasons were misogynist) than i do for a man who sees a woman he doesn't even like but uses her anyway and pulls that breadcrumb bullshit.

Yep! My ex used to not communicate. So I would actually bring it up and explain that I don’t mind what he’s doing, I just need communication. It would end with him doing the same thing over again the next week. Now I realise he just didn’t give a fuck and thought I would stay with him and cop his shit, no matter what. Boy bye.

I remember that I have a male friend who always reminded me this. He'll message me first thing in the morning when he wakes up (like around 5 am) with a long ass message greeting me a good morning, hoping I have a good day, and saying "I'll be busy for the whole day (insert WHY) so I might not be able to reply to you but feel free to message me anything you feel like telling me I promise I'll call you and reply to you when I get back home."
And he always DELIVERED. It's not that HARD!!! While my BF (now ex) just ignores me and messages me the following morning or whenever he feels like. I'm honestly grateful to my friend for upping my communication standards that time. IDK if he's interested in me or just a decent guy. Who knows.

I have a male friend like this too but he is gay. Is your friend straight?

Yep, he's straight.

The fact that this post is on a female only sub is alarms me about how men are. With my limited experience with men , I've seen this a lot. They don't text a lot. If u point it out , they'll tell they were super busy.
But why won't they text that they were busy in the first place? Why wait for me to point it out and make it look like I was being insecure??
I text horribly , m myself not a timely replier. All I do is tell how busy I am without making the other person go bonkers !

This would require "planning ahead" which we've already established from other threads that men can't even do when they need to eat- aka perform a basic human need for themselves by picking a restaurant (not Pizza Hut) or cooking themselves.

I literally just dumped my boyfriend 2 hours ago because of this. He told me that was just "how he was" when work was busy and that I could call him whenever (and do all the emotional legwork for our relationship.) BOY BYE!

My HVM does this and also has his iPhone's "Find my Friends" enabled for me. It was his idea.
