Forget the identity fraud, I'm just imagining the look on my face if a guy offered to 'get gas' for me then asked for my debit card to pay for it.

I just want to add on this post to please please vet the people you date. If you ask their last name and they act all weird about it, block them. If they give you a last name and 0 hits come up, block them. Protect yourself at all costs even if it seems irrational.

When I was 18 I got manipulated into “dating” this guy I had met in a depression super. we were both very depressed and lonely at the time, I took him to the hospital after he told me he wanted to kill himself and I guess he thought that meant I wanted to date him? So he put me as his emergency contact and told me if I didn’t sleep with him he’d kill his self so I did. He then proceed to call me late at night and threaten almost every night to jump in front of a bus if I didn’t come, would show up when I was hanging out with friends and freak out on me for offering to buy him ice cream. Just really sketchy behavior and after like the longest week of my life I decided I was done and his behavior was unacceptable in any capacity so I told him that and blocked him. I found out his actually last name a few months later. I found it out because his picture popped up on the “reccommened” side of Venmo. I googled him and he had been arrested multiple times for domestic abuse. He stopped the car with his ex in it, dragged her by her hair to a field, and choked her off and on for the better part of an hour. About a month after I “broke up” with him, he attempted to drown a girl he has been seeing in the toliet.

Just please...... stay safe y’all and be cautious. We don’t need more of us murdered
