I’m child free myself, mid 20s. I don’t bother wasting time with men who don’t want the same thing down the road, so I let it known early on.

At 20, too many people are still figuring themselves out to know what they truly want. You're more likely to find men who want marriage and kids because that's what they've been taught that they want. Around mid-twenties, more people will figure out that they're not as keen on the traditional script as they thought they were. One of my closest HVW friends is childfree (mid-thirties), and she has no problem finding like-minded, HVM men. Definitely don't get discouraged right now. You'll meet plenty of childfree men along the way.

I'm 26, but had a bilateral salpingectomy at 22. I am VERY serious and vocal about the fact that I am childfree, and that I am uninterested in men who have, want, or are undecided about if they want children. One of the things I am very serious about wanting from a partner in order to consider marriage is that he would commit to a vasectomy, if he hadn't sought one out already. I would 100% rather be single my entire life than be left by a fence sitter who decided he wanted kids, or be blindsided with an affair baby down the road. But this is an aspect of my life I am absolutely not willing to compromise on.

Finding childfree men is kind of difficult, however. A lot of men are super willing to lie about their parenting status already. Ive been out with multiple men who lied to me about already having kids to get me out onto a date, and then dropped that bomb halfway through. 🤢 I have met quite a few men who are childfree, however none that I really consider dating or marriage material. I worry that a lot of childfree men are childfree because they themselves are happy to just be oversized children, and they think that not having kids means they never have to grow up and be somewhat responsible.

Most men think that they’ll change your mind, be very careful that you indeed are on the same page.

Currently, there’s a guy that I’ve dated a few years back and he asked me out after he heard I’m single again. I really like him and would be open to dating him since he’s a HVM, but I’m hesitant since I know that he really wants to be a father after his brother had two kids.

I was married to someone who is also childfree, unfortunately that didn’t work out for more reasons than I can count. Back when I was still a pickmeisha I worried that if it didn’t work between the 2 of us I’d be fucked because no one else would want to be with a childfree woman. Now I’m single by choice and ok if I never marry again. I will NOT settle for a guy who wants and/or have children, I will not back away from something that is a deal breaker to me just to not be alone. As we get older I believe it will just be harder to find someone who happens to be the ideal partner, childfree AND single at the same time that we are seeking a relationship, it’s just how it works. You have to learn how to make peace with being on your own, or settle for shit and regretting your decision for the rest of your life. Having a childfree partner is non-negotiable to me. Either that, or happily single.

Fuck no I don't date males who want or have kids.

Be careful too cause a male will say he's okay with no kids but then think his dick will change your mind magically. I've been through that track once already with a dude.

I make it known usually date 2 that I don't see kids in my future. And they will either agree or disagree with me - so then I'll make the decision to continue or not continue dating. If a guy REALLY sees kids in his future, it's a big nono. Its a such a waste of time..and its so much harder when you love him and you know it won't work out in the end
