"Even when a situation seems so personal, even if others insult you directly, it has nothing to do with you. What they say, what they do, and the opinions they give are according to the agreements they have in their own minds." - Miguel Ruiz from 'The Four Agreements'

"People have the right to their opinion and you have the right to ignore it."

"Be proud of who you are, and not ashamed of how someone else sees you."

"Opinions aren't facts. Stop worrying about what other people think of you."

"Be what you want to be, not what others want to see."

How much value and care should we put into others perception and opinion of us? It's very freeing to just let go of caring about what other people think of us, but at what point can someone care too little? This goes not just for potential mates or employers (people you obviously want to impress), but for anyone in the general public we may come in contact with.
