Don’t worry I know you don’t mean bad, I’m not angry at you I’m just suprised someone would even came up with that idea. I think it’s good you are asking and trying to figure things out

Btw, I can already give you my take on stop caring she starts caring theory: daddy issues. I have them (not the worst kind but still) and I get drawn to men who doesn’t give a shit about me. I never got my dad’s attention for free so having to fight for attention is something I’m used to (I’m going to psychiatrist this year to take care of it). My roommate has a good relationship with her father and if a guy plays unavailable she’s not interested. But it’s just my theory and it goes deeper than that, I know a person who has very bad daddy issues and she’s into men who are extra caring and very paternal

This post is so old that I already got help from a psychiatrist and a psychogist, learned in therapy that I deserve love and affection and I don’t have to fight and struggle to get it, then I met a wonderful man who has been nice to me since our first date and treated me with respect and kindness, and now we live together and we love each other very much

But I wasn’t hypocritical there, from what I understand „dual mating strategy” (OP’s title) and „stop caring she starts caring” (what he reffered to in the comment I was replying to) are two different things, I just said I don’t understand the first one (especially now that I have a boyfriend and I literally don’t care about other men because he’s the best) but I could understand the second one because I used to be like that

It shows that people can determine facial attractiveness, which is determined primarily by genetics, in about seventeen milliseconds. The quality of a gene is defined as the extent to which it is selected for. Because women are self-evidently more likely to reproduce with men they find attractive, they select for genes that cause higher levels of facial attractiveness. There are two main types of value that a mate has to offer a woman: the monetary value that he can provide to her, and the inherent value that she assigns to him based on her attraction toward him, which, as has been established, is determined largely by his genetics. This means that the ideal situation for a woman is one in which she reaps the benefits of being married to a man who can provide her with great wealth while simultaneously getting to enjoy the benefit of the affection of, and ultimately impregnation by, a man to whom she is attracted. Most often, the best way this situation can be approximated is by marrying a man of sub-optimal attractiveness who can nonetheless provide her with wealth, and subsequently by finding intimacy with men to whom she is more attracted without her husband's knowledge.

See your first error here is assuming that facial attractiveness is in anyway related to "better" genes. If we want to approach this logically, which you're not, the question to ask is what does better facial attractiveness genetically imply? Nothing, it's not a peacocks tail or similar display. Better genes means better survival, but you are substituting that for "more attractive" in order to further fudge your point. So after that the rest kinda falls apart.

The rest of this is some weird cuck holding fetish you've got where the woman continues on a genetic hunt for the ideal bang, completely ignoring the earlier point about genetics which is about mating. Like fuck me man, stay in one lane, is this about genetics or is this about all women being cheating whores? Pick one, it can't be both. The original point was about genetics, you're the one dragging women in one amorphous blob who cheat into this.

This shit isn't logical or based on facts, it's based on what you emotionally want to be true.

Edit: I'll help you out here, how does this theory apply to men? In what way do all men act exactly the same in their appraisal of women based on beauty (because lgbt folks don't exist apparently). If you haven't got an equally generalising one about men then you haven't got an explanation, you have an excuse to dehumanise women.

By definition, the genes that are better are the ones that are selected for. Since women are more likely to reproduce with males with more attractive faces, in addition to other attractive features such as broad shoulders, good pheromones, and tall stature, the genes that produce those features are selected for. Thus, a man's genetics is likely to largely determine his attractiveness to women. The reason why women cheat on their husbands is that they become acquainted with men to whom they are more attracted, that is to say, men with more attractive phenotypes. Of course female nature manifests across many spectra, but when referring to women as a whole, I can only make generalizations. It is fundamentally true, though, that the two types of value that a mate can offer a woman are the monetary value that he can provide, and the inherent value that she assigns to him based on the attractiveness of his phenotype, and that all people are able to determine facial attractiveness within about seventeen milliseconds, and that given these truths, certain patterns can be expected to emerge. I do not wish that any of this was the case. In fact, I wish for a world where all people are filled with unconditional love for one another, regardless of phenotype, and where there is no death or misery that necessitates natural selection in order for the species to prosper. Regardless, the truth is what it is. None of what I said implies that homosexuals do not exist, nor that all men act the same in their appraisal of women based on beauty, nor that women are incapable of acting as rational agents.

I understand that there is far more to attractiveness than facial features, but the face is of primary importance in evaluating a person's appearance and in the formation of social bonds. Nowhere have I denied the agency of women, rather, the idea of female dual mating strategy assumes women to be agents who must balance two often competing desires, those being the desire for financial security and the desire for an attractive partner, in order to achieve an optimal outcome. Conversely, men do not experience this competing desire in mate selection, and need only evaluate women in terms of attractiveness, as it is unlikely for a woman to accept a mate to whom she would have to provide wealth, due to female hypergamy. Men may also cheat when they have the opportunity to copulate with a significantly more attractive woman than their partner, an opportunity that seldom presents itself except to the most attractive of men, or, likely more often, when they feel a lack of sexual intimacy with their partner. The latter case further attests to the female dual mating strategy, as a woman may marry a man of sub-optimal attractiveness due to the wealth and stability he can provide to her, with whom she would be less willing to engage in sexual intimacy, and thus herself possibly be encouraged to seek more attractive sexual partners while also incentivizing her husband to seek sexual intimacy elsewhere.

I do not claim to speak for all women any more than a historian of the Great War would claim to speak for all soldiers when he says "morale on the Western Front was low". I am simply trying to understand general trends based on basic incentives. I assume most women want both an attractive partner and financial security. Are these unreasonable assumptions? I would assume the same about men, with the one difference being that the overwhelming majority of men do not have the option to achieve financial security by marrying a wealthy partner due to the fact that most wives will have husbands with higher incomes than themselves. This simple fact leads to the conclusion that as an aggregate, men will tend to select mates based simply on their physical and social attractiveness, whereas women will tend to experience the often competing incentive to pick a wealthy mate. None of this assumes that women want to have offspring, although I might add that surely most women must want to have offspring, lest the global population would be decreasing rather than increasing. I am confused as to what specifically I have said that you disagree with.

I'm pretty sure its a cope for the more psychopathic pillers. There are three main mating styles for males of any species, spreading, protecting, and sneaking in. The idea that women are helping men along in spreading or sneaking in protects the ego of someone upset that there is even a possibility they could be cheated on.

It could be a bit of a projection onto women. Im not sure. There are women that want only the best in a certain sense, and will bounce, or will cuck a guy, but I don't think its as common as implied by RP.
