Oneitis is very normal and healthy. I'm not seeing a problem. It's much worse when women post here and say "I can't choose - help me pick A or B". They're the ones with a problem imo.

Just vet well and meet in person before you put too much time into anyone. There's instructions in the sidebar.

If you want to have a long lasting/lifelong relationship with a man, "oneitis" is actually a good thing. The problem here is with your vetting. You've just picked a guy at random instead of finding one who you really love and can see yourself being with happily for the rest of your life.

Do you feel like you were just desperate to be in a relationship? I would suggest not investing emotionally in people you haven't met in real life.

When a man is totally committed to you, oneitis is good. Ie. when you both have oneitis for each other. Until a man is committed to you, don’t put him on a pedestal. He’s just an option. xo

This stems from self confidence issues. And possibly not good at multitasking. So depends on the source for you? If it's self confidence issues it depends on where they stem from.
