I had the urge to go to a bar and drink last night.

Instead I snuggled up with my dogs and put on a science channel and woke up rested with the same amount in my bank account. I went on a 5 mile run to reward myself for making better decisions.

Junk food has been my downfall lately and my justifications (read: excuses) have been plenty, such as not having enough time to prep healthy food between full time work and grad school. Another thinking trap that I have fallen into: thinking that it does not matter if I am not in great shape because I am not going to be dating any time soon, nor will any man see my naked body for quite some time if/when I do. This is STILL putting my worth in the eyes of a man. This needs to STOP!! I want to be healthy and in shape for myself, regardless of any man.

So, thank you for the reminder!
