I don't think age gap relationships should even happen, if a guy is more than 3-5 years older than me, it's an automatic no. Imagine being 18 and dating someone who's 28 and has a job while you just got out of high school. Relationships like these are almost pedophilic even though it's legal. An 18 year old isn't much different from a 15 year old. Anyone below 24 is a child to me haha. Maybe I'm just old 😂

At your age, it's definitely best to date in your age range. It's not just about the power dynamics (though it does play a huge role) it's also about compatibility. I used to have a friend who was 27 and dated a man who was 17 years older than her. He had different taste in everything, had different goals, aspirations, had a different love language (that's what she told me, I assume he wasn't intimate with her besides sex). The whole relationship fell apart quickly. That's kinda what I had always thought, you cannot relate with someone so younger than you. I cannot imagine dating a 20 year old, we just wouldn't be compatible, plus i'd feel very weird and creepy 😣

Or be like, "I hate child molesters." And then sexually proposition, try to date women the same age as their adult daughters. You know women who would've been a child at the same time as their biological children but are grown now so...somehow that's okay to them and not just as bad.
