Can I apply RP ideas if I'm attracted to women?

I was married to another woman for 5 years, together almost 11. The thing that a lot of the responses are getting wrong is conflating how masculine or feminine a lesbian (or bi woman) dresses with how dominant she is.

I’m highly dominant. I’ve been the “captain” of almost every same sex relationship I’ve been in. I’m also almost always in dresses with curly hair and makeup. My ex wife is as butch as you can get, but a terrible leader.

The red pill is an amoral toolbox, a way of understanding how men and women behave. Bi and lesbian women are still women. Gay men are still men. That’s why you see so much promiscuity and casual hookups in gay culture, and why the lesbian cliche is that they get super involved super quickly but never have sex.

You can absolutely find someone out there like you’ve described, but you’re also searching in a smaller pool than if you were looking for a man to lead you.

It depends on what kind of women you're attracted to. I'm a weird case of bisexuality in that I tend to be attracted to feminine women and masculine men (as long as they're hot of course). So RPW strategy wouldn't work for me if I was dating a feminine woman. It took me a little longer to cultivate my femininity when I was in my late teens/early twenties because of my bisexuality. This was partly because I was attracted to such different things in the two sexes, and partly because I hung around a lot of lesbians and gay men during college who trounced traditional gender roles....sometimes to ridiculous extremes.

It took me a little longer to catch onto the dance between the masculine and the feminine, and to figure out where I belonged in that dance IRL. I won't speak for every bisexual, but this was certainly the case for me. So it depends how your female partner feels about gendered roles in lesbian relationships, and how well the two of you dance that dance together, if that makes sense.

Given the numbers game, it's far more likely that I'll end up married to a man who shares my values and is cool with my sexuality than a lesbian/bi woman who shares my values. I've also found that when the shit hits the fan, I want my spouse to be the one to make me feel safe. And I feel safest when I'm leaning on a man whom I love, respect, and trust with my life. Perhaps I'll meet a lesbian bombshell one day who can satisfy my needs, I don't know. But it's very unlikely.

Personally I think it makes sense as long as you are finding an alpha woman who enjoys leading. These dynamics do not necessarily have to be limited to heterosexual couples. I’m fairly open though to recognizing and appreciating the spectrum of sexuality that exists in humans.

I kind of think this is true in any relationship (friendship, parent/child, boss/employee, etc) in the sense that if you have two leaders duking it out or two betas lounging about nothing will ever get done.

The truth is most people here just won’t know.

Lesbian relationships are different than straight relationships, and they’re probably different than gay (male) relationships too. Unless there are some gay women in here with experience, none of us know how those dynamics work.

RP is based on the biological differences between men and women that tend to lead men and women in different directions in terms of relational preference. It’s about understanding and embracing those differences rather than trying to act like they don’t exist.

I don’t think it would apply to homosexual relationships in a 1:1 way, but I’m sure some applies in some way.

RPW is a tool box. You can use it for whatever you want. However there is no advice for hitting on or dating women here. So use what you want, but you'll have to find the rest elsewhere.

In my opinion yes, you just have to vet your partner to see if they’re a capable leader and make sure you guys have the same values and want the same things.

The ideas can still apply, as it is mostly about having the symbiotic dynamic that is the goal. I.E one leader/protector and one follower/nurturer. So you just need to decide which role you want to play in the relationship then look for a partner that fills the other one.

The sexual aspect will still apply to you for your actual sex (female) so don't sleep around regardless of if you decide to be the masculine (leader) role or the feminine (follower) role...same for your perspective partner. This is because has been shown to burn out your ability to pair bond and you don't want to do that.

The other things is you both want to try and provide 50/50 in terms of resources, as statistically women struggle with being the provider role, it is just not in them to do long-term for anyone outside themselves & their children. Financial troubles are the biggest factor to high tension in relationships and for whatever reason lesbian couples have the highest rates of domestic violence....so be mindful of that when vetting your partner.
