I spent 20+ years failing to prove I was worthy of being faithful to. Finally left his cheating ass and miraculously met a man who truly knows how to love his partner. I was a total pickme... it was starting therapy while I was still married to ex and realizing I DO have value as a person on my own and not just as his “wife”... that was the beginning of the end for him. He “accused me” of growing a “ramrod instead of a backbone”.

Translation, you value yourself suddenly and I can’t get you to submit to my depravity anymore... let me find someone who will.

Yes! They don't care if you're "perfect" but if they sense any uncertainty about your "perfectness", they will use it against you. It was such a weird process shifting my attention to what *I* think is perfect and moving towards that. So much bullshit brainwashing out there that we only exist for other people.

I was listening to a live stream podcast with people who called in and one was an obvious pickme. She kept saying how she doesn't get along with women and has all guy friends blah blah blah

I used to be like that and it's so obvious to see it now that I'm on the "other side". The jokes on me because the only reason those guys were my friends is at the off chance they might get to have sex with me.
