This is one of the reasons I think we should be paid more. Not only do we perform more work, but our monthly expenses are way higher than an average man. Think about all the hygiene and grooming products (like hair care, skin care, vaxing, etc.) and all its TIME it takes to get ready. Sure, you migt chose not to do that and not partake in perfomative feminity, but how many women feel self-conscious and worthless if they do that? How many women are literally expected to wear make up and heels and dress a certain way in certain work positions (such us the customer industry)? And even if you find a job that does not require you to do that, you still spend $$$ on hygiene and sanitary products so what’s up with that? I think women should be paid MORE than men not only because we work more, but our monthly expensess including necessary products are much higher than men’s.
