So i'm not sure if that's the best subreddit to ask it, but anyway, here it goes

I was trying to find factual evidence of how porn harms the user, but 99% the alleged harms are to third parties. Things such as: it hurts your relationship with your gf, the performers are not fairly paid, it makes wife pressured to do sexual acts like porn etc.

So i'm not saying that i dont care at all (for sure if you're in a relationship, you should care about how your partner feels obviously), and i assume there are in fact people being screwed over in the business (which is not exclusive to porn, but whatever), but those are all harms to others, not to user.

For example, if you argued against using cocaine, you could list many harms to others but also many obvious harms to user (it will fuck up with your health, it's very addictive/ nearly impossible to use it casually, it's expensive, it may literally kill you etc). None of those apply to porn.

Sure, i assume there must be a tinny % of men who are indeed addicted to porn as in everyday watch if for hours and hours to a point of actually detriment their lives, but 99% people of porn users just click a video, bust a nut in 5-10 min and move on with their day.

So far, basicly every downside about porn i read is mainly about negative effects if you want to hook up or relationship, but what if you dont want it anyway?
