This'll be long, would not fault you if you don't read. No tldr, seriously just skip over it.

I was raised by feminists. They bravely and stunningly abused me throughout my childhood. They were incredibly fierce and empowered and strong and liberated - they were the good people smashing the patriarchy and its evil child avatar. My first memory in life is of enduring one of my nan's abuse sessions when I was 2 years old.

So of course I found MGTOW. I know I'm not representative of the philosophy, most of you got divorce-raped, or got sick of being the "good man" you were taught to be and getting passed over for tattooed thugs time & time again. And now you're getting tired of being shamed for not wifing up some slut with 3+ of Chad's kids and Tyrone's bun in the oven.

Meanwhile, I was the product of my mother's alpha fux phase so I'm tall and masculine (she divorce-raped my father when I was a year old, and as we all know, the hunt for betabux is not usually a successful one lol). When I was 13 and hit puberty, girls were like "Howya doin? \<sup>.\</sup><sup>",</sup> and I was like "THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!!!" lol. I never, ever, ever wanted anything to do with the evil demons. I had repressed the memories of my mother's sexual abuse, and 3 of those girls kissed me when I was 13, the memories of which I also repressed. It was that bad.

But what else is there? I'm obviously not incel, as the terrible sluts couldn't keep themselves away from me starting in middle school. I'm not TRP since I wouldn't touch them with some other guy's dick (wouldn't want to give him the herp). I'm not MRA since those guys are so cucked - they genuinely think women can be reasoned with. Might as well try to convince the tide not to come in, or the earth to stop rotating lol. So while it's not remotely a perfect fit, MGTOW is by far the closest thing for me.

Our early childhoods are incredibly formative. In fact, they're SO formative that they form our personality more than anything. Many guys "raised" by women (eg. abused, neglected, gaslighted, etc.) end up angry, but they usually don't realize the source of their anger.

In some extreme cases, they blame the entirely wrong group for their misery and rage. For example, in 2011 Anders Breivik murdered 77 people, mostly teenagers, supposedly because he was angry at Muslim immigration into Norway. But I looked deeper and found the truth I knew would be there - his mother abused him so severely that Norway's child protection service tried to take him from her when he was around 2 or 3 years old. Obviously, being a feminist country, Norway let her keep him and continue abusing him. He never once realized that the true source of his anger was women, aka child abusers - not Muslims.

I'm one of the rare guys with enough self-awareness and self-reflection to understand the true source of it all. So it's fucked up, I identify most with MGTOW but really, I'm on my own in the world more than just about anyone else. I know I'm not really wanted in this sub due to my anger and how it reflects poorly on you guys. I'm better off in the original MGTOW sub but even there, I'm not like the other guys.

I really should just get my ass off into the woods and never interact with humans again, not even on the internet. And I may do just that, like that "Into the Wild" guy (except I wouldn't die lol), or Dick Proenneke. This society and its zombie-like insistence that "FEMALE GOOD MALE BAD" can fuck itself with a goddamned cactus.

There are all kinds of people in the MGTOW community , and the variety is only going to grow.

Honestly , if you are in for the real deal , you should avoid watching the youtube videos , stop listening to podcasts and just continue your life as is - without getting into romantic relationship. That will give you stability and contentedness in your life.

If you talk about 'enlightenment' , MGTOW is not going to give you that. You will have to realise yourself what makes you you , and what path do you want to take towards self actualization.

Yeah. Most people don't like MGTOW. The phrase itself isn't what we are after. It's just what it is called.

It's not about the continuation of any movement or anything, so their bashing of it won't matter. There are MGTOW men who try to make it more of a movement than anything else. I just tell the truth if I am asked or if I think I have to, and I live my life. I don't go out of my way to start arguments, or to "forward the cause" the way radicalistic leftists, and feminists seem to do by dying their armpit hair pink, or bleeding in public, or waddling around in with pink hats on.

Men just don't have to date women, and currently it's just not a good deal to get involved with a woman. Her money is her money, and your money is also her money. The myth of "her moving in will save you money" is the biggest slap in the face to me every time I hear it. Yes, it makes me angry because statistics suggest that it is not true. Women today are hurting financially. Men, not so much. I simply can't afford a woman, and I don't appreciate being lectured or lied to by people who are either too old to understand, or they are women and have zero idea about what a man's experiences are when he tries to date, even if he succeeds.

Don't hate the players, guys. Hate the game. Those really are words of wisdom.

I choose not to date. I have wonderful female platonic friends that I enjoy hanging out with and I wouldn’t give that up. Of course I wouldn’t give up my guy friends either. Women are by no means evil or inherently bad. Or society certainly gives women a pass in some areas and that can lead to a lack of responsibility, but boy I know a lot of irresponsible men too. So no need to hate anyone. Life’s just too short for that.

Feminism is immoral, factually wrong and should be denounced whenever possible by anyone with a bit of ethics. Also, gynocentrism and hypoagency poisons many women's characters, so we don't have other option than saying things the way they are.

That being said, this aggressive attitude towards women and feminism is not MGTOW. If you feel the need to comment every day about how negative these things are, you are letting them control your mind. MGTOWs should get rid of toxic and negative thoughts and just move on.

Yeah. This is a big problem. I'm afraid to use the term anymore because sites like Wikipedia seem to define MGTOW as conservative and misogynistic. Many people see MGTOW as is essentially a counterpart to the feminist mindset which often encourages women to go their own way (i.e. "I'm a strong independent woman. I don't need a man."). However, Feminism is celebrated rather than vilified like MGTOW.

Most of what people know about MGTOW comes from mainstream media. And mainstream media have no incentive whatsoever to tell the truth about virtually anything, least of all what MGTOW is all about.

Plus, a lot of MGTOW's over the age of 30 or so are still working through their anger at a lifetime of being lied to. The anger is an unavoidable step in most people's RP process.

But it's not the final destination. Rather, the final destination is men spending a lifetime pursuing their purpose and improving themselves.

One of the issues is that subs like the original MGTOW get overrun by red pill ragers and incels. These people claim to be MGTOW but are not. They do hate on women and bash feminists and whinge and whine.

So the actual MGTOWs get mislabelled and bunched in with these angry groups.

That was one of the reasons this MGTOW2 sub was made - to get away from the enger and hate that become the callsign of the original sub.

The other issue is that feminists have realised that men who go MGTOW are often quality desirable men who are no longer available to be subjugated by women. So they do not like this and then deliberately insult and denigrate the lifestyle we choose to try to lessen our chances of reaching other men.

I always thought it was stupid how I had to treat woman like queens for no reason at all. I'm glad there are people that think the way I do and I'm glad I'm not alone in this fucked up world.

MGTOW will help me in life by letting me focus on myself as I'm going into the military and I don't want a wife to leech of me and fuck one of my battle buddies while I'm deployed. I wont fall into that trap like everyone else and I thank MGTOW for that every day.

MGTOW, on it's own, is pretty reasonable and does not warrant the amount of hate I have seen directed at it. Celibate/solitary men, like monks or geniuses, have been around for centuries and have made very valid contributions to their socities throughout the ages. Partially because they have transmutated their sexual energy into action and work.

But a "movement" or a community like this will attract hurt people that bear a lot of anger and resentment no matter what. Even if they are in the minority, they will be some of the loudest members and the members feminists and SJWs will focus as they are the least reasonable.

Even though I definitely see a need for a community like MGTOW in the world, I have seen some very disturbing writings by people I assume still are in their anger phase (concerning rape, murder etc).

Depends on the individual. MGTOW, for some, does mean taking out their relationship failures on women; it's sad, really. Much of that animosity is rooted in their relationships with their mothers and/or from being in toxic relationships.

I like women. I have women friends, a daughter, an imperfect mother who did the best she could (I see this now, and I appreciate her for it), and a few women who I casually date. I just won't be in a relationship anymore. I don't function well in relationships; all the work they require disturbs my inner peace and distracts me from my personal goals.

I fall in the middle. I lurk here often because I like a lot of MGTOW’s ideas about refusing to settle for sub-par women, refusing to marry when it benefits women far more than men, focusing on self-fulfillment, etc. However, naturally there is a lot of resentment towards the opposite sex that springs up in online MGTOW communities, especially amongst younger men who are still navigating their emotions and finding themselves. Many men feel forsaken by today’s dating world and the state of affairs between the genders. Thus I do see a good amount of incelly shit on this subreddit (in my honest opinion) that should be called out more. Also a lot of MGTOW people seem to lean pretty conservative politically and that also puts me off because of my own political leanings. Overall I like the core concepts of MGTOW but there is definitely a fair amount of anger and resentment.
