I was married to my wife for 5 years, together for 8 and she asked me for a divorce over the summer. She said she was unhappy for the last two years which was a shock to me because we had been actively trying to have kids for that time (3 miscarriages). I left to go to a friend's house after she asked for the divorce, and a week later she called me crying saying she made a mistake. It turns out she was in an online relationship with a co worker that fell through and that is when she called me. We did counseling and read all the books, and it came out that she had had a few affairs, mostly emotional and long story short I left after she said that "I am not romantically attracted to you, and there is a 50/50 chance I ever could be again."

I moved across to the country and got a new job, but I am just so sad all the time. I have had to start my life over. I love her so much and I am just having a very hard time. I was not the greatest husband ever but I tried, and I was loyal. I just want to be happy again. I feel like who I am as a person is pointless now. I feel like no one cares about me anymore, and I know that is not true but still. I just feel sorrow, and I don't know if that light at the end of the tunnel is the way out or an incoming train. I feel so hollow. Is there a general consensus on when things start feeling happy and good again?
