Relevant time to point out that I see "male" get used as a noun all the damn time, and no one ever points it out. Every single time someone uses the word "female", even if it's being used appropriately as an adjective (i.e. "We have 3 male nurses and 27 female nurses"), people lose their mind about how it's misogyny and only incels talk that way. But I very frequently see shit like an AskReddit front page post something like, "Males of Reddit, why do you blah blah blah", and I'll scour the comments looking for anyone pointing this out, and there's not a peep.

I hate when confirmation bias leads to a situation like this. People continually act like it's evidence of rampant misogyny that women are referred to as "females", but that's only because of confirmation bias. Any time a men are referred to as "males", sweep it under the tug. Any time women are referred to as "females" consider it further proof that this happens all the time to women.

It's so stupid. It's just yet another "it happens way more to women!" claim with no proof. People are never able to demonstrate that it's actually a unique or disproportionate problem for women. They just claim that it is, and that's enough for people, because they've been trained to agree that anything and everything is misogyny.

Maybe look into why we're all at each other's throats over words. Maybe wonder why race is suddenly a thing again after no one cared for years.

We're being played against each other and each little dig, each paper cut makes us that much less cohesive. We have far bigger problems than this and if being called female, male, or shithead is an existential crisis; you have far too much free time and should probably do something productive. My suggestion... Maybe help the women who don't live in a first world country. They have real problems. Feminism worked. You won a very long time ago. Help people who need it.

Discourse, often satirical... This is how we survive as a cohesive culture. We don't do so by hiding from everything we don't like. We seem to have forgotten the liberal ideals which created western democracy. When we allow our outrage to dictate policy solely based upon argumentum ad passiones, we are lost. When we placate the lowest common denominator rather than attempting in good faith to do what is in the best interest of all, we are lost.

Silencing those who you would find disagreement with does not make for a strong and informed opinion. Resorting to violence and the use of power at the first sign of being challenged are indicative of a flawed ideology and a lust for control of the narrative.

I say female sometimes because people get offended by the word woman. It seems like it is those who are part of the female gender that are often offended by the words associated with their gender and yet they have no issues making derogatory terms associated with men or male gender.

The logic behind 'female' being bad because it has the word 'male' in it is exactly the same as if men were complaining about being called 'male' because it was within the word 'female' but there is more added to the word 'female' therefore implying there is more to women.

All the arguments apply equally well both ways. In Australia the media often say male judge, male police officer, male teacher, or most of all - male offender if it suits the stereotype they want to push. And the whole relationship to animals obviously is completely symmetrical for male and female. The reality is that, in the modern day, the user of these adjectives is, more often than not, negative.

As for the female dog idea that is just wrong - a dog IS male, a bitch is a female canine. Just as cattle are cows and bulls (and steers) and sheep are ewes, rams and wethers.
