Please note that there is a specific flair for all posts relating to circumcision: Intactivism.

If a mother circumcises her infant son in 2020, it's what, Abraham's fault from the fucking Bible? Makes total sense.

Dr Kellog actually, at least for non jews in the US. He suggested it as an anti masturbation measure. He also suggested sulfuric acid on the clit for girls for the same reason. A shame the former wasn't rejected as the latter was.

Which is why I never buy any Kelloggs products.

Ah, the standard idea of if men caused an issue any suffering by men is nullified, and everything is a man's fault.

I wonder how they'd feel about the fact that FGM is usually passed down from mother to daughter.

[–]Historybuffman 13 points14 points15 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It falls back to their answer to everything they can't answer, that divine fallacy, "Patriarchy".

Because men "force" women to want to mutilate their girls with FGM, men are brainwashing women and so any guilt is AKSHUALLLY men's fault. Don't you see? Men can brainwash women! It isn't women's fault!

I assume you are being a little facetious with this but they really are like this. In fact I have seen the exact words that you used but in a different conversation.

There is one radical feminist who made the claim that all PIV is rape and she goes into explicit details about how men force women even when they aren't even forcing women. She says that women cant consent because there is no such thing. I dont have the site on this computer but google "All PIV is rape", and yes she is serious.

[–]Historybuffman 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, anyone who actually engages with feminists (the ones that many claim don't exist, but seem quite popular nowadays) and uses critical thinking (as opposed to blindly accepting rhetoric) will become anti-feminist.

There are still some that stick to the label and what it used to be, but those seem to have largely been ejected and shunned from the movement.

Engaging with feminists is exactly why I came to hate the movement.

Yes, except that it's usually women's choice to circumcize them.

[–]mgtowolf 20 points21 points22 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's the cult's default comeback to everything. Find a way to put the blame squarely on the shoulders of men. Like the catholics do with satan. Men are feminists' satan.

[–]Oncefa2 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A good counter, where applicable, is pointing out the outsized women's vote and the feminist lobbying industry.

Child custody, divorce, sexual assault, and domestic violence laws all count.

Men might have passed those laws, but they did so under the pressure of the women's vote and the feminist lobbying industry.

From what I've heard from mothers, they usually defer the decision of circumcision to the fathers, but have there been any actual studies on this?

[–]RacelessSexlessName 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Mine did this and I said 'fuck no.' For context I've worked in a hospital and it scared me one day to hear a baby's bloodcurdling scream and the female nurse just remarked, "Oh, it's just a circumcision, he's fine." No, he ain't fine, he's screaming in painful terror...

[–]Whiteliesmatter1 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To a victim of something, it really doesn’t matter what gender the perp is. The outcome is the same.

[–]1LegendaryWombat 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

These are the people who believe wholeheartedly in the patriarchy, despite it being impossible to prove or point out.

I wouldn't even bother, as they will not listen to what you say, and they'll downvote you enough so that no one else will see either.

[–]jslnk 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And when presented with a case they claim is “patriarchy”, they laugh it off instead of fighting it like they say the do.

It appears that no studies exist to determine whether the procedure occurs and how many women have been affected.[8] Some medical practitioners view reports about the procedure as an urban legend.[2] One writer suggests that it might be a joke made by men to relieve tension after their partners have given birth.[2]

If men invented it, which men? I want names and evidence.

Epiphany: The husband stitch could be for the woman's pleasure.
