I'll be honest, it really irritates me when people use "Neanderthal" as an insult when there's been little evidence to indicate that they were that much more primitive than Homo Sapien Idaltu; I take the latter's success due to a warmer climate allowing for more open land and longer legs for them to run and chase after prey (in alternating bands, exhausting their prey), whereas Neanderthals spent half-a-million years adapting to the Ice Age climate requiring them to sneak up and ambush their prey in snowy/icy conditions.

There's also the point that their brain cases were more voluminous than Homo Sapiens, though I imagine it's like comparing a Ford-150 to a Porsche; more power needed for the harsh conditions at the time while Homo Sapiens had more finesse.

Actually, the theory of evolution by natural selection suggests that it is those who can not adapt to environmental change will die rather than “evolve”... which has little to do with changes in social fabric! Modern humans did not evolve from Neanderthals. They were a species who shared the Earth with humans for a few hundred thousand years and then went extinct. We shared a common ancestor. They did, however, interbreed with the humans of the time.

There is no evidence that Neanderthals were any less intelligent or "less evolved" (which is a gross misunderstanding of what evolution is) than humans from the same time period. This misconception stemmed from their skull/facial structures, which early anthropologists assumed were correlated with intelligence (incidentally the same reason why people from certain ethnic/racial backgrounds were also considered to be of inferior intelligence).

In terms of her point, many men have been accused of harassment for looking at women. It may be hyperbole to say you're not allowed to look at any woman ever, but I wouldn't expect a woman who can't even spell the word "harassment" or know that "every time" is two words to be familiar with that sort of literary device.
