Sorry to nitpick but labeling all the "Reported" and "Faced Trial" cases as "Inconclusive" is a big oversimplification. Many of the cases that don't proceed from the reporting stage to the trial stage are because the accusation does not meet the standards of a crime (neither a false accusation, nor a true account of rape). Edit: one other thing, the representation of "faced trial" is off. It looks more like the representation of "proceeded to the prosecution step". Most cases that go to trial end in jail. Many cases are dropped from the prosecution step for various reasons or end in a plea bargain (no trial). Very few cases actually go to trial.

Adding doubtful numbers of unreported rapes to the total is a very bad methodology. Imagine having a statistics exam at university and doing this error. you will be booted out of the class. Yet politicians do these asinine practices all the time.

Last year, I spoke out in my local community when a group on facebook had accused a group of men, en masse, of sex crimes. Trivial inspection into the issue found that one of the "registered sex offenders" had been convicted of public urination. Others had been targeted for revenge and had done nothing wrong. Speaking out on this issue caused friends to drop me from their social circle and made me concerned for my safety. This video made me feel a little better.

Feminists and researchers on rape statistics have heavily criticized the statistics as well, shaming the report for the degree to which it manipulates the information to suppress an accurate number of false rapes. The Enliven Project has also acknowledged some of the faults in their methods, but refuse to update the study with a correct methodology, claiming that they are trying to start up a conversation on the topic. Clearly, there intention is more along the lines of publicity and profit. But on this occasion, it is good to see feminists and researchers criticizing this information.

This is a fantastic video and demonstrates something I've been curious about when it comes to statistics feminists use. This isn't just padding, this is defamation, they're claiming that purely because a man was reported or not dealt with at all then that automatically means they're guilty.

Are they therefore suggesting then that I am a rapist because I haven't been even entered into the system as guilty or not guilty? That's how retarded this logic is, the video also does a great job of describing how the 9% statistic feminists love touting. One could argue that it's not the false accusations are 'rare' it's that men don't report them as false accusations and try to seek charges.

It's becoming clear to me that these false rape statistics that are frequently cited by feminists are just as egregious as the ones on sexual assault and rape.

Yeah, 8% is the figure the fucking FBI follows, but lets ignore them i guess.

It seems so strange that people would want to make rape seem so common and rapists to be everywhere, and they often get away with it. Buuut...thats how propaganda works.

Its like the DV numbers in Australia, and Black ribbon put out a graphic similar to this, just truthful, that showed male victims were pretty fucking common, putting a lie to all the other stuff that usually never reports male victim numbers at all.

But good video, i hate people who say its fine if some people are falsely accused, as long as they get more criminals, its reckless with people's very lives.

They omitted plea bargaining. Most crimes are not brought trial but plea bargained by prosecutors. By leaving this number out it makes it seem like criminals aren't getting any punishment, when in fact they are.

In fact, if there is no evidence it probably won't even go to the courts, considering how CPS advised prosecutors to "adopt a more risk-averse approach to rape cases by taking a proportion of “weak cases” out of the system."
