Gay males are more likely to be the victims of hate crimes than lesbians. Why do you think that is?

As a Homosexual male, i can say that there is nothing as Hateful as a Woman you refuse to be her "Gay Best Friend". If you do not fit in their Feminine Skinny Twink who loves cloths and shopping stereotype, they hate you, they flat out hate you.

The same reason men are drafted. The same reason men are the majority victims of murder, assault, muggings e.t.c. People are much more willing to hurt or attack men.

Gay males where always more oppressed than female homosexuals. In some countries it was never illegal to be lesbian, gay on the other hand not so much. As a gay male (in Germany), I know of a couple of lesbians who faced some discrimination, but the what I know of gay friends of mine is much worse (like beating up by their fathers bad). I faced very little discrimination (a bit name calling and so on) and honestly, I hope I get a few older people to attack my with my boyfriend, we do everything the law allows (as a law student in Germany, I can confirm that you can even kill somebody in self defense legally (its pretty rare and I don't want to do it, but a bit beating up would teach those homophobes a lesson or, depending on them, a reason to hate or fear us).

Feminist might say that this is because of the patriarchy. Gay men are discriminated more than women because lesbians aren't seen as a threat, rather an attraction.

Male gay sex is more likely to spread sti/std so they were a significant target throughout history which carried on up until the 1980s when AIDS was also called GRID (Gay-related immune deficiency). There’s a lot of prejudice built up over centuries to overcome and the community is sometimes their own worst enemy for a speedy reconciliation.

It's men doing the killing. Men are not bothered by lesbians.

I also think a lot of the killing is by closet gay or bi men. Why else would you be obsessed / extremely bothered by hunks with juicy dongs?

There is one clear certainty here, that in regard to men's rights, be you gay, straight, black, white or anything in between, Today, we are all just men, and we are all being abused and taken advantage of.

See above. There's nothing going on here that needs a special explanation for gay men or hate crimes.

I think it's because there are still some assholes in society that seem to have a problem with two guys showing their love for each other. I have friends who often complain about this (and I live in "progressive" NYC).

I remember some for in my high school inviting me to go to the gay bars, wait outside and beat guys up who came out of them.

These guys really liked to fight, were quite good at it, and I think just liked having a target. I don't remember any of them being homophobic in their comments.
