I mean, what's the point you are trying to make? That there are exceptions to every rule? Okay, not all apples are red, some apples are green. So do I have to throw-in annoying caveats about green apples every goddamn fucking time I say something about apples? Do I have to water-down everything I say with hedges and special if/then conditions to avoid making some kind of faux pas that you oh-so badly get irked by? But do this FOR FEMINISM ONLY and nothing else?

No, you should do that for everything to maintain accuracy. If you say "Apples suck" and receive criticism for it, only to rescind the statement and say "Oh I'm sorry. I meant that only Granny Smith and Gala apples suck. The rest are great," that's going to make you look like you're either being deliberately inflammatory, or just kinda dumb.

Unless the actually-operating rule is I should only "maintain accuracy" in my criticisms of feminism, but not in my praises of feminism. Which is the standard, normal, run-of-the-mill hypocritical sophistry which gets sickeningly old very very goddamned quickly. And, once again (generally), we do admit there are assholes on Team MRA. Right? So the two teams are not mirror images of each other, which seems to be the "gotcha" that you were trying to spring on me. It is special pleading whereby generalized criticism is a no-no due to inaccuracy, but generalized praise is laudable; and I find that to be truly ludicrous. All of the ducking and dodging really does send its own message, loud and clear.

We may disagree on if this should be on the sub, I just believe it's within the point of the sub. Even if it's not an article link to a story about anti-male sentiments, it is related to infringement of a man's right to express themselves emotionally without lashback because it wasn't sensitive to the current feminist movement. I just happen to find it hippocratical to dictate what a man is allowed to feel and express those feelings compared to anyone else who would be allowed to express themselves in any way they wish, yet they get cheers over it for being outspoken and open about it. It has no point as a rant or a direct relation to any of my personal experiences, just a bit of an oversight in how men are treated on the front of emotional expression. I mean, you can even find other men downing each other over expressing emotions. You could say it's more of a societal issue, but it is related to a man being able to express without a lashback.

I understand. If you'd like, you can ask a mod to look over it, as well as our points on if it should be here and see if it belongs on this sub based on them looking at both sides and seeing if they should remove it or not. Honestly I don't have an interest on going back and forth continuous on if this belongs here on social issues. And if it ever came off as anti-woman, I do apologise for that. My English isn't exactly 100% on structure and phrasing, I just wanted to start a thought on men being able to openly express themselves on an emotional level without lashback just because what they say is 'negative feeling' or 'wrong' comparatively to let's say a Feminist Frequency tweet saying 'men are evil, they make me sad' and getting cheers for being open about it, but if a man replies 'that's pretty messed up' they get flagged and told they should be happy for Feminist Frequency for speaking out against the evil men. That's a bit of a weak example, just a bit of the double standard on the situation of emotional expression.

It's not any sort of shit post. Just about the double standard that feminist groups seem to put out about men's emotional output. I haven't really encountered any average women saying that it's wrong to be upset about something, just feminists getting pissed at guys who's upset about something related to man-hating. Like no joke, last week i commented on an openly Feminist extremist post talking about putting men in "camps" until they're "emotionally fixed" and so on. Considering she openly said men need to be more emotionally open, I said it was damning to assume men should be in concentration camps due to men not reacting the way she wanted, and I got spammed with hate saying that I was wrong to think like that. After an hour of spam, my account was locked. After hearing a few people talk about it in discord, i decided it would be a valid point to bring up the double standard of the situation here since I'm sure some men actually may believe they should be emotionally hidden due to feminists like that as well as the societal based idea that men don't talk about feelings at all, even with each other. So I figured maybe the post would make anyone who saw it to be a bit more supportive towards men actually being expressive and stand against Feminists that try and dictate what men are allowed to feel and say about those feelings, while the Feminists tend to spray out every feeling they have like an emotional fire hose at anyone within distance and then clap for each other for being unbound emotionally.

I had a long response typed out that was somehow deleted because Reddit is buggy, it seems, but as long as Freedom of Speech is protected by law, nobody is going to control your right to express yourself, whether you're a man or a woman, so don't allow feminists to dictate what you're allowed to say and think, nor make make you feel that they can. We still have that right, and it is not being infringed upon. However, nobody has the right to control how people react to what we say, so everyone should take that into consideration as well.
