I suppose it depends on context. Women commit suicide and men are also killed by their partners... More information is needed here... If we are talking about this specific instance, then i dont see why both cant get proper coverage.. Accept people rarely ever talk about male suicide. So in this case men need more coverage.

Well. I kinda agree with her.

Suicide is somewhat a choice but DV is imposed on someone. If I were a politician and if i had to choose between a campaign over DV and a campaign about suicide, I'd go for the former because of this fact.

Well I would prefer a world where I can die when I want and not hen someone else decided. This can make sense to some people, this is why you should rather find statistics about men being beaten to death and compare them.

Feminists will say it's a more pressing issue because if we deal with gender stereotypes, then men won't want to hurt themselves or others. I wonder why this logic never works for men. Why can't we just give men a whole bunch of money for their problems, and then wait on their impending increase in happiness to result in women being beaten less?

Well there'd be deaths + all of the people who survive with injuries. Anyways I don't see why we can't fund both issues.

One person is killing himself for whatever reason. Another is killing a different person against their will. Clearly the murder is a more pressing issue in my mind.
