Look, /r/MensRights has a lot that I don't like. I often feel excluded because I'm left-wing, for example. But there is one thing that I will always appreciate about this sub. You *actually* allow debate.

I'm really quite bummed by this. I find the gender debate really interesting. I subscribe to both sides. I read both, I sometimes comment support, and I sometimes disagree with people. To have been banned by one for so much as having an opinion deemed unacceptable by a moderator is an absolute pisstake.

Their response is disgusting too. If you put yourself in a position of power over a popular forum, you have a responsibility to remain accountable. This isn't a fucking tinder date where I'm some guy harassing you for nudes, if you want a position of power you should stay accountable, not mute someone for daring to ask why. These same moderators probably hate when Trump doesn't take questions from reporters he doesn't like.

Oh and, of course, it probably has something to do with one of the moderators commenting this:

And their sidebar reads, to paraphrase, that they encourage debate, as long as it is from an informed point of view. They get to decide what is informed of course, not the tens of people who upvoted me. Was it Noam Chomsky who said something about oppressors allowing lively debate within a very narrow spectrum?

Anyway, that's me, rant over. I just wanted this to serve as a reminder that the mods here are doing a good job, and should continue to allow debate.
