Sure it might be parental isolation, but it was the kids decision, unless they agreed on paper not to tell the true reason for divorce, he had every right to say it. They should know, and he should be able to let them know.

Nearly adult kids ask why you are getting divorced. Have to wait until long after the divorce is finalized. Finally get a straight answer. Feel as betrayed as their faithful parent felt and react accordingly. That's not driving a wedge or a dick move. They could have nagged the unfaithful parent for the same answer and had the same reaction.

Oh, I remember seeing this post. The comments were truly disgusting there; they attacked the man and made him the bad guy for being honest with his children about why he and his wife were divorcing. Apparently he should have lied to them about why they were getting divorced 's the wife could save face and pretend like she did nothing wrong? Anything from the precious vagina, I suppose.

And isn't parental alienation when you lie about the other parent, or prevent the kids from seeing them? He told the truth and didn't interfere with visitation, it's just that the kids decided that they didn't want to be around their white mother.

My wife left me and moved in with her boyfriend. I ended up with sole custody of the children, because my ex had no fixed career or residence plans, and didn't even know if she would stay with that boyfriend very long. A couple years passed and my son one day out of the blue asked me point blank if his mother and I were still married when she moved in with her boyfriend. Only because he asked me directly, and all the time that had passed, did I say "yes". When my son started to get upset I told him, "look, you like (the boyfriend) and I am not upset at your mother for leaving, because my life got better with her out of the house. And besides, you now gets two Christmases each year instead of one. So why should we be upset? If mom wanted to stay with me, she could have. But she chose not to. It's OK." My son eventually did calm down.
