Bad move—he shouldn’t have clocked her, that’s overkill. Should’ve just slapped her back.

Now, if she had been going at him and he punched her full strength in the midst of that—totally justifiable.

Going to get hate, but this is why it's considered worse for a man to hit a woman. Men have much higher upper body strength.

If this is indeed real then both are in the wrong here.

I'm all for defending yourself against an aggressor but he had clearly moved away from the threat. It was over. Walk away. But when he comes back to assault her back, not defend himself but assault her back, he crossed a line.
