It's funny how feminists live the idea of switching genders for beloved roles, but switch the gender on what is argueably an attack on men and woah, that is wrong.

Now after reading this article I plan on watching this movie when it comes out, what about you guys?

It's fucking fiction. Writers can literally depict anyone they want in any way. It's just as false to assume that men would resort to savagery because they are men than it is to assume that women would not because they are not. Both are also completely sexist.

Said it before and i will say it again -- deep down, women are just savage little monkeys waiting for an opportunity to kill and eat their own children. And girls, being closer to the natural state, are even worse. If The Lady Of The Flies is honest, it will be an horrific, blood-drenched affair in which none of the characters manage to retain even a modicum of civilization -- sort of like the feminist movement but with less cannibalism.

I think the fixation on the Lord of the Flies as a narrative about masculinity being toxic inherently misses how much the book focuses on the role of anarchy and the lack of positive authority figures resulting in chaos and the breakdown of the social order. By that I disagree that it wouldn't make sense with females; when girls don't have positive authority figures keeping them in check they can become as bitter and nasty as boys ever could, and given women's generally superior ability to socially manipulate people to get what they want, I think it could make for an interesting premise if written correctly. Feminists probably won't be too pleased though, so I imagine this movie will spend at least a fair amount of time kissing the ring.

I'm thinking that this film will be less of a adoption, and more of an mockery of the mysandry of the original, I look forward to it.
